tmhe
Why isn't bao-dur able to wear jedi robes? I was really dissapointed when he couldn't wear a robe and it isn't clear why he isn't able to wear the robes. If it is because of his arm i it really confusing cause other clothes just stop at his mechanic arm too, so why not the robes? Is there a real good reason why he can't wear robes? It doesn't get clear in the game (to me) and i really think it would be cool if he would be able to wear one.
Drazin
the real good reason is that the developers got lazy. It would have taken alot more time and variances for them to create more wearable items for Bao-Dur. He can't wear heavy armor either Basically they like, have to make a model of each thing he can wear because of his arm. And they didnt want to do more than they had to. But thanks to some of your Holowan Modders, you should have a Bao-Dur robe fairly soon I think.
Hojo
Well for heavy armor, i thought that it usually involved heavy or think plating, which means you couldn`t cut the arm for him =\
lukeiamyourdad
Or maybe he's too weak to wear anything else. >_> I know he isn't...he's so muscular and everything. Manly jaw...big muscles...muscular butt... What?
Moonie
Perhaps robes loose their "force" if you chop them off at the shoulder? hehe. I dunno, it'd look a touch wierd wouldnt it?
DarthVandar205
Its not that hard to customize clothing or armor for people so Bao-Dur couldve customized some clothing if he had wanted to. Maybe he just doesnt like or doesnt want to wear robes just like Mandalore doesnt want to take his suit off. I would think if a guy is smart enough to make his own arm and a remote droid then he could easily modify some clothes, he probably just didnt want to or didnt have the time and liked what clothes he already had. lukeiamyourdad
Mandalore doesn't take his armor off because he has to keep it on. Except when he goes to the bathroom or to take a shower.

lukeiamyourdad
Perhaps Achilles is right. Bao-Dur is a tech specialist. A mechanic. A mechanic wearing Jedi robes. That's not normal. He can't work properly.

Granted, I personally think he would look silly with a one sleeve robe. But they could have made him atleast able to wear Jal Shey Armor.
RaV™
What They should of done with Bao-Dur, is use the robes from the first KOTOR for him, but I really don't have a problem with him not being able to wear the robes as long as he can weild a lightsaber. Jedi Karas
Bao Dur really gets shafted with everything. He cannot wear robes or armor (e.g. Matukai et al.) that permit the use of many force powers. In addition, the powers not restricted by armor are relatively useless/ineffective due to his meager WIS and CHA attributes. On my second LS playthrough, I gave him full Shield, Valor, and Speed categories and equipped him in clothing, sans armor. This worked for LS (heal, heal, heal...), but would probably be useless for DS. Furthermore, his skill point allotment goes to hell upon becoming a JG, unlike Mira, whose points are plentiful and allow her to exceed BD in Skills. Was ist dieser Abfall? mr.piercy
IS MANDALORE CANDEROUS???? BECAUSE HE SOUNDS EXACTLY THE SAME. this is why i think he keeps his tin can on.
montnoir
@Mr Piercy: Beat the game and LISTEN to what Kreia says. @Karas: How come Miras skills are a spoiler and Bao Dur's are not? @Everyone: Don't you think that Bao-Dur sounds suspiciously alike: Bara-Dúr (of LOTR fame)? lukeiamyourdad
Because it didn't fit Bao Dur's character? I still stand by the fact that he's a mechanic and a mechanic can't work with those robes on, at least not as efficiently. Even if he's a Jedi Guardian, he still remains a mechanic and always will be.
Drazin
@Prime: Bite me. You have a better reason? lets hear it. @"luke": I still don't buy it. Even if he is a Mechanic, a Robe is more cumbersome than Light and Medium Armor? And Jal-Shey is Light armor, yet he can't wear that either. Like I said, I think he can't wear robes because it would look really bad with his arm being the way it is. But they could have easily made him capable of wearing Jal-Shey types or even given him his own Bao-Dur Armor that doesnt restrict force powers. Handmaiden gets her own robes, why can't he have his own armor?
StoneDragon
They should at least make Bao-dur wear heavy armor.
RaV™
If, he is to wear heavy armor then forget about making him a jedi, because the force powers, that actually do good aren't able to be used, because of the restrictions

If I had the choice between working in a spandex suit or a Jedi Robe, I'll take the spandex suit since it sticks to my body and I like it like that. Oh wait... If you look at the design of the light armor, it "sticks" more to the body and doesn't have sleeves like the robes.
shangoman
my problem is force powers that are armor sensitive can't be used when he is wearing armor, or basically he in his clothes and gets hammered because he has jack and s**t for armor and jack left town. I guess those armor restrictions are gone.
Wardyn
a couple replys toward the start someone said that maybe Bao- dur could wear the robes from kotor, in many pitures of kotor2 that i've seen i see lots of pics of the main character wearing robes from the first game. Is it possibly to get those robes or is it a mod someone did?
