ET Warrior Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 I do believe Han asked for 10 thousand, all in advance. Obi-wan was able to offer him 2 thousand now...plus...fifteen once we get to Alderaan. PASS!
Astrotoy7 Posted August 28, 2005 Author Posted August 28, 2005 @Jedispy, I was just about to dig through my TPM DVD, but then I remembered TFN has a whole section about this... and a pic included. The Enterprise E -its *very* subtle, but definitely there: http://www.theforce.net/episode1/hidden/hidden_stuff_page_11.asp * * * Q. What very small shot(about 3 secs) of ANH was actually filmed in Guatemala ?? BONUS : Pic mtfbwya
Jeff Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 Q. What very small shot(about 3 secs) of ANH was actually filmed in Guatemala ?? BONUS : Pic The Massassai Temples on Yavin IV
Astrotoy7 Posted August 29, 2005 Author Posted August 29, 2005 It is true that the Massassi shots distant shots were in guatemala, Im pretty sure that the close up shots were with the falcon crew landing werent shot there.... I will however, give you the points... For those that are really interested, check out this site which is all about the mayan city, Tikal. This 4th temple in Tikal was actually what is seen in the yavin IV shot. This site has excellent 360 degree quicktime pics of the different temples http://www.destination360.com/tikal/guide.htm * * * Q. Why was Queen Amidala forced to land on Tatooine ?? mtfbwya
Bastila Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 Q. Why was Queen Amidala forced to land on Tatooine ?? mtfbwya Was it there Hyperspace thing broke?
Astrotoy7 Posted August 30, 2005 Author Posted August 30, 2005 Thats right Bastila, the hyperdrive on the Marie Celeste, was buggered. * * * Q. Why did qui-gon choose to land on Tatooine ?? ps- I will be away for a couple of weeks... so the trivia threads may slow down a little. Feel free to put fresh questions up yourselves, and play nice.... mtfbwya
Bastila Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Q. Why did qui-gon choose to land on Tatooine ?? Because it was a remot plante and the republic and trade Fedration had never been there as it's run by the hutts?
Jan Gaarni Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Been there and been there. They didn't have any influence there, cause it was controlled by the Hutts.
guybroom Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Alright, let's get nasty!!! Q: on the original 'revenge of the jedi' poster of Luke and Vader fighting. What is the mistake on the lightsabers? BONUS: pic
Leviathan Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Luke's light-saber was blue-green, and not green as in the final version of ROTJ...
guybroom Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Luke's light-saber was blue-green, and not green as in the final version of ROTJ... on the right track, but wrong. Anyone else want a try?
guybroom Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 yep - zbomber got it: Luke's lightsaber was red and darth vader's was blue. I'll let zbomber ask a question.
jedispy Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I'll ask a quick one. What is the mistake on the lightsaber duel portion of the Return of the Jedi Special Edition poster?
guybroom Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 A:As far as i can see, Luke's is blue instead of green in the film. pass
jedispy Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 A:As far as i can see, Luke's is blue instead of green in the film. Well....kinda close. There is something more specific that I'm looking for. Let's keep the question open a little longer. I'll try to see if I can find an image of it online for people's reference.
Leviathan Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 jedispy talked of a glitch in the Vader / Skywalker duel portion, but not of a lightsaber's problem... I'd say it is the presence of a blaster, on Luke...
guybroom Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 maybe, i have all the OT and SE posters on my wall next to me, but the ROTJ SE is half ripped so that might be right with the blaster, i can't tell. I cant see anything else wrong with it though.
jedispy Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Leviathan got it. More specifically, it is the lightsaber duel from Empire Strikes back that is on the Return of the Jedi poster. Q: In which SW movie were you able to see words spelled out in english? (Not counting subtitles) Bonus: What words were they?
coupes. Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Q: In which SW movie were you able to see words spelled out in english? (Not counting subtitles) Bonus: What words were they? In A New Hope, you can see the words power and Tractor Beam on the tractor beam Obi-Wan disables. But it has been removed from the DVD version and was replaced by the equivalent in Aurebesh. Q. What is special about Beru's (Luke's aunt) lines in ANH ?
Jan Gaarni Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 They've been changed since the original, and the lines have been re-recorded with someone elses voice .... I believe. Pass on question if I'm right.
coupes. Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Yes, that's correct. The next question is open.
Leviathan Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Leviathan got it. More specifically, it is the lightsaber duel from Empire Strikes back that is on the Return of the Jedi poster. Yes, this duel remembered to me the beginning of the duel in the Carbonite chamber... Moreover, Storm Troopers took Luke's blaster before his meeting with the Emperor... Sorry, I do not have any question... Have to pass on it...
jedispy Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Moreover, Storm Troopers took Luke's blaster before his meeting with the EmperorIn all actuality, the Imperial Officer turning Luke over said that he was armed only with his lightsaber. But you are right, the presence of a blaster would not have been true. Q: When was the first time in any Star Wars movie that a blaster bolt was deflected by a lightsaber? (I'm looking for theatrical movie order, not chronological movie order)
