Dark Force Mastery

What does Dark Force Mastery grant you in KoTOR?

 

I have it but I dont know what it does.

 

And Light Force too!

It doesn't do anything . It does in TSl, but not in KOTOR.

I guess it also makes the dark smoke come up when you look at your alligment but it doesnt grant you anything.

Here are the LS and DS alignment master bonuses for KotOR:

 

Light side mastery

Guardian: +3 STR

Sentinel: +3 CON

Consular: +3 CHA

 

Dark side mastery

Guardian: +1d8 damage

Sentinel: Poison Immunity

Consular: +50 to Force Points

 

I haven't checked too closely but they appear to be the exact same for TSL. I hope that helps.

 

Edit: Also, I'm not sure if the bonuses are different for the prestiege classes, but again, I imagine that they are not.

It is VERY easy to get DS mastery in KotOR, but nearly impossible to do so in TSl, so I never got it there Made me sad.. no awesome bonuses.

Err...ok

 

I can usually get to 75% DS Mastery before leaving Citadel station, and achieve full mastery by the end of the 3rd planet (Peragus being 1 and Telos 2). LS Mastery takes a little longer (not as many LS point opportunities), but usually I can get that by the end of the 3rd or in toward the beginning of the 4th.

That's odd, cause I did everything I could to get DS points (even reloading so that I didn't get a SINGLE LS point, and I never got DS mastery.

What are you looking for when you're looking to see if you've achieved alignment mastery? You won't see any special icons, you'll just have the boosted stats/attributes. In other words, there's nothing to look for really. If you have LS mastery and you're a guardian, then all of a sudden you should notice a +3 to your strength. Unless you were looking for it, you might not even notice it.

Getting DS Mastery was really easy in KOTOR, just be rude and brutal to any NPCs you encounter. With TSL you can do it the same way if you don't care about the influence of party members. But after my first planet most of them hit DS Mastery and would have it permanently if there wasn't this stupid alignment bug... -_-

When I plaued the Xbox version of the game, I was fully on the Dark Side by the time I landed on Datnooine (The planet I went to after Telos)

Now that I have the PC version, I'm fully on the Dark Side once the game starts.

in kotor 1 i had full mastery by the end of taris.
