Need help!!! (again...)

It looks like a HEX editing flub up to me. I believe Kreia's mdl is one that has "oddities" that is VERY HARD to get to work. ;)

I'd start with the original mdl file for her and MANUALLY replace the entries not auto find & replace or whatever. Bad things can happen anywho when your HEX editing, but replace features are horrible at screwing up your mdl file.

Try that and see if that helps your problem.

In addition Kreia might also be one of those characters like Bao-Dur whos head floats about 1/2 foot compared to his body. :D

Hope that helps a bit ;)

You might want to ask Svösh or one of the other modelers about this one. ;) I'm not sure if even possible to "attach" it to another model. The animations and I think they call them "bones" won't work or some such. It would be very very kewl if you suceed in this as so far there haven't been "new models" as of yet for characters. :D

That's risky, you may ruin the animations for the model, so you could try, but if it messes up th model there's nothing you can do.

I know, but kreia doesn't have a full head model. But thanks anyways. I've been trying to take the full one from the evil kreia's head and put it on one of those bodies with which you can change clothes.

Huh? Ohh, you want to put the head on another body.......well, you could simply add a new line to Appearance.2da for that job ;)

Or edit Kreia's line......

And what do you mean by not having a full head model?

Did someone dip a straw in or something?

Kreia's normal head ends at her hairline, so she only has a face. The people at Obsidian probably did that because she never removes the hood anyways.

Well, she can remove her hood, and she has a head with long hair underneath it. It looks like this when she's pulled off her hood.

Seems I've been diong things the difficult way.

B.T.W, How did you do that?

It's done with animations added to her dialog file. The Hood up/down thing for the Handmaiden, Kreia and Traya models is handled through animations.

I added the 10507 (Hood off) animation to her "Have you come with questions?" dialog node, making her pull back her hood whenever you talk to her (and then usually pull it back up when done talking with the 10508 animation). :)

Thought I would bump this up a bit since I seem to be trying to do what armando was. The only problem I've encountered is that Kreias head model IS incomplete for some reason. As seen here:

Now, the obvious question is: how on earth do I fix this? Now, I want her to be wearing other armor so that rules out using the animations.

No...Kreias evil head isn't in the heads.2da and adding one doesn't work (get no head at all) I did a look at the models and it turns out that the KreiaH, without the hood, is without the back. So, modeling has to be done (and unfortunatly, I have no clue how to save mdls.) Since its probably simple. Take the hood and extra off, leaving only the head and save it as the head model.
