ALL this stuff was on there.... lemme see if I can do a recap of the *main* scenes cut(not including scenes with different dialogue or unshot scenes from the script) ANH *Luke sees star destroyer above tatooine through his binoculars... *Threepio driving the landspeeder(cockpit view) now only seen from distance *Entire anchorhead sequence...with Camie/Fixer/Biggs *Biggs leaving Tatooine, urging Luke to go with him *Mos eisley stuff, eg. Tall alien confronts tiny one...(sorta like the chewy/mouse droid bit) *Saucy lookin lady sittin on Hans Lap when we first see him in Mos Eisley. *Extra aliens in the cantina *Jabba/Han scene(re-inserted into SE of course), except Jabba was originally a little fat guy with a scottish accent *Longer briefing sequence on Yavin IV ESB - actually not much was really cut, except *Wampa Attack *Threepio removes warning sign from door, stormies enter and get attacked by wampa *Slightly different Dark Side cave scene *Luke rescued slightly differently(rested on falcon hull before brought in by Lando) ROTJ - *Sandstorm scene... I cant think of anything else "major" that was left out, just some ewok crap on a speeder bike... But check out the site.Its pretty cool. It actually has footage of some of the ANH ones Ive mentioned. It also doesnt mention some of the ones I have, I remember them from a book I still have at my parents house mtfbwya

Katarn07 Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 I've got an Insider with the whole scripts from both major cut scenes. The Anchorhead and Sandstorm ones. Lots of pics, decent reading. I can understand they both threw the pacing off, but for the life of me can't figure out why you can't just see it on a bonus disk or something. Along with a Skyhopper race! That'd be cool just for them to do even if it never was scripted to be done.
edlib Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 I saw a lot of this footage a long time ago, but I can't remember where. Maybe it was on some TV special or something. I know that I saw the Luke and Biggs scene somewhere before I got the Behind the Magic disc.
El Sitherino Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 the Luke and Biggs scene is the most shown of the cut scenes because I think it's the only one Lucas has allowed people to show on tv and such. It was shown on "When Star Wars ruled the world" uncut edition.

I'll check out that site. Like msot people I knew about the Biggs/Jabba scenes etc.. from ANH, but i hadn't realised there were so many other little scenes out there that they actually filmed. Wish they had put them on the DVDs. ROTJ also has: *luke briefng droids on tatooine before going into jabba's palace *luke jumping up to grill in rancor cage but having hands bashed and falling back in. *more luke talking to ben on dagobah *vader being stopped by royal guards when going to see emperor, but forcing his way in. *goes to look up wampa attacks*

Looks like a lot of it makes sense to have been cut... but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be nice to see a cut of the film with it edited in... at least once. Shame the site astro mentioned doesn't have stuff on Eps 1-3, as those are the ones in need of fixing.
