Tyrion
Because some people aren't very precise. You can find PC games with auto-target systems aswell, so that's a pointless assertion. Every PC game I've seen with auto-target is only for single-player. I've never seen auto-target systems in any multiplayer game except for consoles. lukeskywalker1
Yeah, even Half Life has an auto-aim for SP, but not MP. A lot more games on consoles have auto-aims than on PCs.
ET Warrior
Fine, you're both right. You can't aim accurately with an analog stick. It's impossible.
lukeskywalker1
HAH! I knew it! EDIT: Hmmm, does the PC halo have auto-aim. I never saw an option (DEMO VERSION), but I remember some guys online yelling at other players to stop using auto-aim. :-\
BongoBob
Not really, it has a very sensitve auto aim. I've never noticed if it does in MP, I'll check it out...
jokemaster
One question though, those of you that have played both PC and console FPSs, what do you think of the difference between both, 'Cause my sister plays PC FPSs fine, and console FPSs w/ the goldeneye default style fine, but when she tried the 'Halo' style controller, she can't play at all. Which for me it's a little confusing, since she plays a lot of PC FPSs and it's the same basic principle.

For one thing, you have to guide the right-analog stick with your thumb, which it wasn't really meant to do. Aiming with the joystick feels more of a "guide the crosshair along" rather than the mouse's point and click.
BongoBob
The bottom line is what you're used to. I had never touched a pc fps until I played Jedi Knight II(the first levels where you don't have a lightsaber), and as much as I used to play Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, I'm better at consoles. Some are better at PC FPS Some are better at Console FPS I just checked, and no auto aim in MP mode of Halo PC.
lukeskywalker1
Hmm, maybe it was an aimbot then... or just some n00bs who were getting pwned and needed an excuse for their crappy playing ability. Whatever.

El Sitherino
Yeah. but Halo was meant to be on a console. It was ported to PC. Lets see how HL2 or D3 stack up to the PC versions where precision is concerned, eh? No Halo was developed to be played on a mac. Microsoft bought Bungie and had them make it for their console "xbox".

jokemaster
Yah, in BF2 I got accused of cheating because I managed to sneak up on a sniper and kill him with the medic's shock paddles.
