Blacknadger Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 As you may or may not be aware, a new mod has started to return the droid planet M4-78 to the KOTOR 2. We are currently recruiting new members, so if you are interested, send a pm on the restoration mod's board to either Jyuanii, Valec, archon II or myself (blacknadger). Thanks
Slipstreme Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 Is this really possible? I mean isn't to much missing?
Lando Griffin Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 wait isnt there a site for this, or are u the same guys, and what kind of help do u need maybe i can help.
Lando Griffin Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 oo, then what kind of help do u need?
shamelessposer Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 I will very merily assist in voice acting and anything you might need help with in the way of dialogue and/or dialogue editing. I've seen too many mods that could have been great brought down by some pathetic spelling and punctuation, and it just looks... unprofessional, you know? It takes you out of the game and makes you realize "This is where the mod starts. I'm not REALLY playing KOTOR right now." I'm also working on my scripting, but I'm not much use in that area quite yet. Sorry.
Blacknadger Posted September 4, 2005 Author Posted September 4, 2005 Sorry I took a while to respond, but our new website is now up and running at: http://www.geocities.com/m4_78/M4-78 Its only just up so its bound to have glitches, but hey, its something at least. I'll state now that we are not in any way connected to the mod that has screenshots on pcgamermods. As for the kind of help we need, currently anyone who is capable of editing kotor2. So, dialogue editing, .git editing, in particular anyone who can script. Its a lot of work and theres only 4 of us currently, so we need all the help we can get. Were still in the stages of planning and tidying/sorting through what is there, but we've also got some guys building some nice looking entry and exit sequences for the Ebon Hawk. As for voice actors, we will be doing a casting call, but we still need to write the missing dialogues, so I'll post when we are in a better position to discuss. So, anyone who is interested, pm me with details of what skills you have etc. Thanks.
The Source Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 We haven't heard from these guys... I wonder how they are doing? I just checked their site, and their last report was in December..
Det. Bart Lasiter Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 We're switching to a new server and no one has gotten around to writing a progress report for the new site yet. But the mod is still alive We're also scouring the dialog.tlk file, as well as the rest of the resource files to find out various plot details.

Shem Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 I do have to say that I just got wind of this project and I'm very excited about it. I guess that's what happens what you decide to become a regular way after the original announcement of the mod. I did listen of just about all of the cut dialogue from the StreamVoice folder, so I do have an idea of what is to come in terms of what is said from the NPC's. Keep up the good work.
The Doctor Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Will there be downloads available any time soon? I just installed the game, and I want to get as much of the fixes and stuff as possible.

According to their site the mod will come out a while after TSLRP mod but there making good progress so it might come out before or a few weeks after.
The Doctor Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 What I mean is, on the TSLRP site, there are patches and oarts of the mod available for download already. Will there be similar postings on this site?
Pavlos Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 I would doubt it. The mod is concerned with the reinstating of one planet and a bit of fiddling on Korriban, so unless any bugs turn up on Korriban which are not concerned with the mod then I find it unlikely that you will get to download anything.
Elven6 Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Thats true, there basicly just making a planet not restoring the game
