Katarn07 Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Took my little sister to see it today. I thought it was great. Definately one of his best films to date. Anyone else see it yet? Even if you didn't like his other stuff or think it's overrated, check it out.

Samuel Dravis Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 About the music... I noticed the trailer for the Corpse Bride had the same score as A Series of Unfortunate Events. Is it just the trailer or does the same music get reused for the entire thing?

And personally, I found this way better than Nightmare Before Christmas in both terms of story/ characters and music. I find Nightmare to be overrated as well. I like it, but not nearly as much as some of his other films or this one.

jebbers Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 i went and seen it but i went on opening night on friday night so i a bunch of stupid pop-punk kids were there in clans. nevermind groups, these were clans of like 20+ 12-15 year olds who think they are cool and what-not. so the movie starts and they're all talking during the beginning and i got mad,leaned back at them and yelled SHUT UP! really loud. and they got quiet. but other than that i loved Corpse Bride. whats not to love about necrophilia? o and there was a harry potter trailer for his new movie and when it was over a crap load of people started cheering and clapping...i was like wtf? but to each their own..

Samuel Dravis Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 Just got back from seeing it and I loved it. I really liked the score, and the animation fit it perfectly. What was cool is that a small, insignificant section in the movie was switched out with another (in the wrong place because the people that put the tape together didn't do it right) and we got a refund. I'm definitely getting the DVD. And the score too.
