shamelessposer
I don't suppose anyone here would know anything about changing the music played during the launcher, would they? Just swapping out the background.wav file comes up as silence.
TheOssusKeeper
make sure you use the true .wav file format for starters... secondly make a back up of the original if you want... also whatever song you want, make sure it has the same name as the original (background.wav) and in the same location (launcher folder)... shamelessposer
Whatever format the original .wav is, it sure isn't really .wav. It spazzes out when I try playing it in Miles and it just crashes Goldwave. I believe it's mpeg3-encoded, but isn't just about every other sound file in the game? Some play, and some won't, and I'm just going from the StreamMusic folder.
stingerhs
you've just ran into a problem that's puzzled me for quite sometime until i opened it in a sound editor (and Miles Sound Tools is not a sound editor). unfortunately, that was quite a while ago, so i've forgotten what it was. so, you'll need a program like WavePad, Audacity, or Goldwave to open it and figure out the format. shamelessposer
Opening it in a sound editor just says that the thing is corrupted, even though it isn't.
Slipstreme
Actually all you have to do is find the .wav file that represents the launcher and replace it with an MP3 that has the same name
General Kenobi
Well I kept my selection for Holowan Plugin's launcher music in .wav format (no compression or the like) and called it something like background.wav I believe. I utilize Apple Quicktime Pro to convert the original I had from another format and export/save it out as a .wav. That worked for me and I had no difficulties. Darkkender
Also once you have your wav file converted to the proper format you can change the launcher.ini file to match a different name for the wav file without overwriting background.wav. I played with both methodologies when making the Holowan Plugin and decided against changing the ini file for the End Users convience.

You can use iTunes as well to convert if you don't want to buy the Quicktime Pro license (though I highly suggest it if you use QuickTime on a regular basis... definitely worth it)
