She tapped the knife with her right index finger, causing a slight clinking noise due to the mechanical hand hidden beneath her black glove. "But I doubt you'll need this if I use the full extent of my power on this guy."

He decided it'd be better for me to stay in bed." The healer rolled his eyes. "That's exactly what I told you!" Kayla laughed. "Yeah, but he was sweeter when he did it."

His mood couldn't help but lighten in her prescence. That was another thing that he just couldn't figure out. Why? Why was she able to effect him like this, when he was usually about as warm and caring as a rock? And why was it that he desired revenge so much? He had never cared enough for anyone but himself to want to pursue someone with such fevor. Yet now, he would die trying to exact vengance on the men who had shot Kayla and pursued Tysyacha. 'Tis a puzzlement...

Then again, finding someone like Kayla didn't happen all the time exactly, either. "Of course," he said, pulling up a chair, he smiled, "If only to make sure that you don't get up."
