Vladimir-Vlada
Simple: What are you favourite songs/compositions and your favoured music. It is optional to add what you hate. NOTE: Insane Sith, this isn't a copy of the 'What are you listening to right now?' thread. So I guess that this isn't spam. Opptional: Add it's link or something if you'd like. 20th Century: Summary: I like mostly the songs from the 1980's and 1990's. So here are my favourites: 'Invisible Man': Queen 'It's a kind of Magic': Queen 'Bohemian Rapsody': Queen 'Car Wash': Christina Aguilera. Trivia: The only song I like from her... It's addicting and great in my opinion. 'Never gonna give you up': Trivia: I NEVER found out who the author is and I feel so bad for it. 'Opposites Atract': Paula Abdot Trivia: Addicting 'The final countdown': Trivia: I love this song. Too bad I don't know the auhor, but what the heck. Pre-20th century: Summary: As much as it sounds strange, my favourites are also Classicism and Romancism. Here are my favourites: 'Fur Elise': Ludvig Van Bethoven Trivia: So calm, relaxing and beautiful 'Concert for the piano and the orchestra in F-mol': Frederick Shopin Trivia: Impressive and excellent work of art. Grandious and beautiful 'Turkish March': Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Trivia: Excellent 'Valzer in A-dur' (as far as I recall it was in A-dur): I don't know Trivia: Nice 'Pictures from the Gallery': Modest Mousorgsgy (probably spelt like that) Trivia: Grandious and superb! Describing pictures through art is hard by Modest did it. Bravo! 'Barber from Seville' (It's an opera, mind you): Goacino Rossini Trivia: My favourite opera... And so on and so on... Now what I don't like: 20th century: Anything type of today's 'modern music': Kelly Clarkson, Britney Spears, Chrisitna Aguliera (and countless others) Trivia: Oh, man. Just hearing one second of that sort of music is like slow and painfu death to me... Listening to those sort of things all day in school (my friend always makes me listen to them since she listens to it... As well as most of the people in school) makes me beg to die rather than to listen to that. Please don't make me listen to that sort of thing. Pre-20th Century: 'Bohems': Giacomo Puchinni Trivia: It's not that I didn't like it... I just found it miserable to me that's all.

90SK
I like most everything by the Pillows and the Seatbelts. Great music, and perfect examples that songs don't need words to make them good. Some examples: The Pillows - Nowhere The Pillows - Come Down The Pillows - No Self Control The Pillows - Ride on a Shooting Star (ever seen FLCL? Yeah.) The Seatbelts - Rush The Seatbelts - Pushing the Sky The Seatbelts - 7 Minutes The Seatbelts - Call Me Also, the Eels are a great band. My friend is addicted to them, and he gave me a few songs. The style is a bit different, and for the most part they're all great. Examples: The Eels - Novocain for the Soul The Eels - Flyswatter The Eels - Sound of Fear
lukeiamyourdad
'Never gonna give you up': Trivia: I NEVER found out who the author is and I feel so bad for it. If it's the same song we're thinking, it's from Rick Astley.
Kensai
Aphextwin - Avril 14th, happiest melody on a prepared piano I've heard. Windowlicker, the layers of music within one song is genius, and not overpowering like you would believe given some of his other music. The Smiths - This Night Has Opened My Eyes Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now This Charming Man Eric Satie, Eric Serra, Stone Roses, Dr. Hook, Beatles and Many others... I really would take far too long to name all songs that I really adore. Suffice to say there are many.

spinkle
my favorite songwriter is Bob Mould from Husker Du and Sugar as well as solo. my favorite band is probably Phish, by default; i have around 300 live shows. My favorite composer is probably Philip Glass, especially his soundtracks for Koyaanisqatsi and Powaqqatsi. my favorite album is Downward is Heavenward from a band called HUM...sadly, their last album =( i have a lot of favorite songs at this point, but The Curtain from Phish is probably at the top of my list all-time. Starship Trooper from Yes, Pillars from Sunny Day Real Estate, and Virginia Reel Around The Fountain from Built to Spill are all up there too. @kensai: the smiths own. This Night is very possibly their best song.
