Dianne could not locate a console, at least not a functional one. What she did see was a vent shaft on the wall. The locking mechanism hadn't closed the air lock so the shafts were opened.

- "How about the vent?" - Dianne asked James.

James looked at it, and tried to think of where it might go. "Always worth a shot..." he said, and took out his pistol, shooting the edges to loosen it, then pulled it down. "I'll go in first just to be safe," he said, and climbed up inside. "It's a tight fit," he called out, "But we can make it through, I can't tell where it goes though." He slid a hand out and offered it to help her up into the vent, "You can come along if you want, or wait in the containment room," he said.

The blast caused several eggs to blow up. But the creatures were alerted to it and imediately started to look for the ones who threw the grenade. One by one they started to follow Seifert and Grace into the vent.

Dianne and James had gotten to a room which surprisingly enough was not harboring any monsters.

- "Finally we can take a small break" - Dianne said.

There was a loud hissing sound coming from the vent. It was the monsters that were after Seifert and Grace.

Seifert had already started considering this scenario, and "accidently" dropped an Incendiary grenade in the vent, shortly after pushing Grace and Nick out, then climbing out himself. He grabbed the plate cover for the vent and put it back on and held it in place firmly just as the grenade went off, turning the inside of the vent into a flaming inferno.

Grace swore softly as she tumbled out of the vent. The grenade went off inside it as she stood and she glanced over to where Seifert was holding the cover in place. Then, she turned to Dianne.

"Well that was... fun," she said, trying to lighten the mood a little. "Shall we have a little sit down for some tea or should we wait until teatime for that?"
