RevanA4
I use spybot, anti-adware, and norton antivirus. But I think I'll download AVG. It sounds very useful. -_- AVG pales in comparison to AVAST and they are both free

O.o you do know ad-aware SE doesn't catch viruses and trojan's right? also get spy-bot and you will see a ton of stuff Ad-Aware SE misses

MdKnightR
I have Spybot and it works well. Besides that, it is the only program of its kind that I could get to install on my system. My computer hung up on Ad-Aware and EMCO Malware Bouncer.

O.o Ad-Aware won't install O.O and um Avast stops Malware it sees it as a type of virus >_> save me more than once just going on to some sites Ad-aware, common sense and a proxy. won't stop everything some sites install the stuff on its own and by then its too late and proxies only work up to a point. Sabretooth
Norton FTW. But, Adaware, Spybot, AVG and Avast are good options. Then again, it is best to shut your internet, cancel your accounts and live a life of misery, isolation and defeat. <_< >_>

Ad-Aware and spybot can't be put in the AV programs catagorie because they aren't Avg is better than Norton and Avast is better than AVG norton now a days is only good on the corp. level

True, but what's the use in worrying? If ya clean out your TIF regularly, it frees up extra space, too
REDJOHNNYMIKE
I couldn't get some stuff out to beta testers the other day, every time I tried to attach a .zip or .rar file it kept saying something about having a virus, which would I use to check that, I've never had any problems with the files so I don't know why it would have a virus? I installed Avast last night and I am already so impressed with it that I uninstalled AVG. I really like the interface and scanning features (as well as the vocal notifications) and it found stuff that got by Norton and AVG. It identified viruses that had been sitting on my hard drive since 2003 that I was unaware of! I am sold on AVAST and strongly recommend it to everyone here! That's not on your end, it is a problem with Hotmails virus scanner, it detects some of TSL's file types as wrongfully infected, you need to use a different Email account, like Yahoo, to send your files. I dont use it on my compy(as mentioned above I use NIS 2005) but it runs on my gf and her daughters compy and seems to do its job. It has even actually caught the odd intrusion/bug here and there and has customisable skins mtfbwya
