gandiva
what's the difference? I have a good video card on my computer, but is the storyline the same? I am a 3d artist and I use Maya so... my video card is Radeon 9800 PRO.
gandiva
ahem, I meant the difference between KOTOR I on PC and on XBOX!!! (not KOTOR II!)
RobQel-Droma
The storyline is the same. The only difference is that for PC there is a small place called Yavin Station, with a small sidequest and new really good items. For X-Box, it has to be downloaded. Welcome to the Forums gandiva! The Doctor
Some would argue (myself included) that the interface for the PC version is much more efficient. Behold the power of point and click, young one.
Emperor Devon
I myself prefer the PC version. Benefits of the PC version: Yavin Station (No downloading required.) Cheats More faces for the NPCs (It looks like there are less clones throughout the game.) Better textures Faster load times Better controls And most importantly... Mods! By the way, what video card do you have? Most cards don't allow the KOTOR graphics to live up to their full potential. If you have a very poor graphics card, don't want to buy an new one, and are big on visuals, I would recommend the Xbox version.

Emperor Devon
That should do it. You might even be able to enable frame buffer reffects and anti-aliasing with it. If you didn't know, frame buffer effects enables the advanced lighting effects, and anti-aliasing smooths most of the textures. Both make the graphics look MUCH better. Ztalker
With Kotor 1, You can put Anti Aliasing and stuff on highest, with an 9800 Pro. Unbelievable graphics then, serious.. But beware: Using an Ati card wil result in Enromous lag on Dantooine ><
gandiva
what do you mean, "Enromus lag in Dantooine?"

BattleDog
No, its the grass, turn off the grass! There is one thing worth mentioning about the PC and XBox versions Swoop Racing. In the PC version you have to use the arrow keys to steer, this makes it much harder than on XBox.
gandiva
what does uber laggy mean? Im confused!!
Achilles
Lag? You have heard of lag right? As in "slow". There are fixes for the dantooine issue, so don't let this keep you from playing on the PC.
BattleDog
what does uber laggy mean? Im confused!! Its game-speak for a very low frame rate, particually one which causes jumps and generally looks bad. "Uber" just means super, so "Super slow frame rate" would probably be a litteral translation. Sorry if that seems like over explanation.
