Don't mean to complain, but Im seeing doubles and triples of the same thread everywhere (Lightsaber colors, KOTOR 3 Ideas <<like 6 of these)...Its kinda...messy? Mabye a little more organization couldn't hurt? And can't you remove the moved forums from this section? ^.^ Most forums allow you to move the entire thread so you don't see it In that past invaild forum anymore. Just trying to be helpful, much easier to post when everything neat and organized.

You could start posting in the right forum...that would help.

Thread moved to the feedback forum.

About the redirect links that are left in the original forum, yes, we can remove them but we usually leave them for a little while to allow the author and members who participated in the discussion to find their thread easily.

Well, you see the problem is that while we can delete threads, some ppl deem it 'necessary' to keep creating duplicated threads without reading further to see if it's already been done...

When we do "clean up" we lock the threads so that no one loses a) their ideas on the matter b) post count tallies... However, we still get duplicates

The "redirected" threads are there to serve previous poster's a notice that their thread has been moved rather than deleted. This prevents the thread starter from creating the same thread over in case he/she thinks it was deleted, and also cuts down on having to rummage through the entire forums to "find" the thread....

----------

On a sidenote.. I've been watching your posting habits and find it quite "amusing" that we're getting advice from someone who has perhaps the hardest-to-read posting style I've seen in awhile.

Please practice some etiquette and less ">>>>>>>>>>" and "<<<<<<<<<", swearing & ALL CAPS in your posts if you're going to critique on neatness ;) (A spell-checker might come in handy too...)

I'm not slamming you, but consider this a life lesson.. Practice what you preach if you ever want to be taken seriously. The Real World is alot more brutal than a forum can ever be....

Here are some tips that you and others can do to help out:

1. If you accidently create a double thread - or - post, you can delete any one of them by going into your edit function. The 'Delete' option is at the top. By keeping close attention to your own thread/posts, you can help in keeping this place neat.

2. If you open a 'Work in Progress' thread, and at some point it is getting too cluttered, you can have a moderator or admin close the thread. After the thread is closed, you can open up a new thread. By having the thread closed, you will not affect the posting count of other posters. At the same time, you are being responsible and polite to your thread visitors.

3. If you noticed that another visitor has accidently made a second thread, you can politely help them out. Place a posting in their thread, and let them know: a. your other post is in the right location, so if you don't mind, could you please delete this? b. I don't know if you have noticed, but you have accidently double posted. If you don't know how, I can tell you how to delete one of your threads/posts.

Accidents happen. Maybe someone doesn't know how to fix their mistake. Help them out, but do it in a kindly manner.

Finally, I noticed you a pretty new here: WELCOME TO THE FORUMS! :)

I think we all covered the details...
