HELP!!! I killed DUSTIL!!!! (spoilers)

I killed Dustil! Somehow Carth isn't reacting to it at all. I couldn't find a way to convince Dustil to see how bad the sith are so I went to go what would happen if I confronted him AFTER I killed Uthar and Yuthura. Then Dustil starts attacking me so I had no choice but to kill him. Strange thing is, is that Carth doesn't do anything about it. I haven't left the planet yet but, it seems that the "Find Dustil" mission isn't changing or disappearing. It's odd. I talked to Carth after that and he just said the same thing he always does.

I know how to convince Dustil now, though, because I searched it on the internet. But since he is , I don't know what to do. I can't open Uthar's room without Security 14+ because none of my people have that. And I can't get the card from Yuthura because she's . So what now? At least if I killed Dustil, can Carth react??? When will he??? Is this a game error? I'm sure that the mission should disappear. Also, "Aiding Lashowe" isn't going either. I'm well past that part. She froze after we killed those wolf things. After that, I don't know.

PLEASE HELP! I can't go on!

Unfortunately you can't complete the quest after turning the whole academy hostile. Once you<ve turned the academy hostile, the only thing you can do is hack and slash. If you want to complete those quests, reload a savegame from before taking the final test.

Try equipping stats boosting items on your npcs such as mission or t3 (I normally raise their comp and security stats) and try to open the door.

Or you could save taking a Party member and just go to Yuthara, once you join the Academy and she'll ask you to help her kill Uthar at the final test. The Quest will appear in your Journal even if you refuse. Go to Uthar and tell him that Yuthara plans to kill him at the final test. He will tell you to give a Datapad to this person, but go back to Yuthara and give her the Datapad. She'll then give you the key to Uthar's Bedroom where you can put the Poison under his bed and require evidence of the Sith being evil in one of two footlockers.

It's too late... I saved it already. Shucks! So, what happens now? Is the quest going to stay active till the end of the game? Will Carth do anything about it? I don't know but probably until he meets Saul... if he does...

Anyway, so, yeah, what happens now? Carthwise.

That happened to me, too--I didn't take him out of the ship much during the first game, and so I never got the Dustil quest either. However, I did talk to him and so the Carth quest got completed.

The next game, I took him out more, got the quest, but messed up on the timing of rescuing Dustil, and ended up messing up the Carth quest as a result.

So what next?

The Finding Dustil quest is incomplete. Will that get in the way? Does that mean nothing else will happen to Carth? I have a presaved game I accidentally did a while ago... that was all before Tatooine!!! Darn it!

Edit: Maybe I'll make a habit of saving games when I enter a new planet.

Gandiva, please don't Double Post, use the 'edit this' post feature, thanks. -RH

Talk to Carth until some guy whos an old friend comes up to him on any of the planets at the spawning locations and tells him about his son Dustil being on Koriban and training with the sith and then talk to Carth which tells you that he needs to go to Koriban and find his son. Then go to Koriban, take Carth with you and get into the Sith Academy *I assume you know how to get in* and then find Dustil's room there and talk to him. He will tell you to find some proof that the Sith are evil. Tell Uthar about Yuthura's plan to kill him, then go back to Yuthura and tell her about his plan but dont admit to any involvement in him finding out about her plans. She will give you a pass to Uthar's quarters and a small device to place under his bed. Go to Uthar's quarters *placing the device under his bed is optional for the Dustil quest* and find a footlocker across from his bed. Open it and you will find a datapad listing Uthar's excitement about Dustil's future but also how he had to terminate his female companion because he felt she was impeding his progress. Take this datapad back to Dustil and show it to him and then he will agree to go back to Telos and forgives his father and they make up. Its probably a good idea to have a high persuade skill for this quest. Then Carth will thank you for saving his son. If persuade fails and you must fight Dustil then after he dies, Carth will be upset and thinks you couldve found some way to save him and avoid an attack but still thanks you for at least trying.

If you don't want to go to a previous same game, I'd just finish that game out and start a new game to do the Carth quest and save Dustil. That's the beauty of this game-it's never the same game twice! :)

I usually save the game after some major fights and before leaving a planet just in case something catastrophic happens with my game.

Yeah sometimes the save games screw up. If youve talked to Carth right after you deal with Dustil and he doesnt have something to say about Dustil that has to do with however you resolved the situation then somethings wrong with the game and you either have to go back to an earlier save and try again or just start a new game. The Dustil side quest is actually pretty easy no matter which side youre on.

If you don't have a save point before you talked to Dustil, I'm afraid the opportunity to finish that quest (this time) is lost. Very sorry, I've done that myself quite a bit,

until I learned to save, save, save...

Save often. Usually after completing quests or objectives and right before going to new places and talking to people. You never know what's behind the next corner.

I try to balance my feats and skills throughout my party. Since the MC can't do everything, different party members can help with different quest objectives.
