Flying Beastie
Originally posted by Nute Gunray: but i am the only person with at least four clearly defined personalities living inside my head. Sorry Nute, but I'm a "character writer." When I write, the first thing I do is create characters, then drop them into situations. Just looking around in here, I have: Ka'al: A Norak bounty huntress. The best there is, she is her universe's equivalent to Boba Fett, but with a bit more personality. She's ruthless and cunning, and never abandons a hunt until the target is brought in. She eventually becomes a member of the first generation of Paladins (my universe's equivalent to the Jedi Knights, the Anla'Shok, and the Gundam Pilots). Dekoh: "Scholar" of the Norak, mate to Ka'al and eventual father of Syan. By the time Syan becomes a pilot, Dekoh has become the "High Scholar" (leader-elect of the Norak people). His favourite hobby is learning new languages, despite his use of a translator implant. Unlike previous High Scholars, he leads from the front lines aboard the Alliance flagship Unity, and is responsable for combining the posts of High Scholar and Ambassador to the Alliance. Syan: Daughter of Ka'al and Dekoh. She becomes an ace fighter pilot and leader of BloodHawk Squadron. Her hobby is stellar mechanics, and she's one of the best astronavigators in the Galactic Alliance. Capris: A Harouna pit-fighter. The best fighter in the league's history, she's become too good to stay popular --no one will pay to see a fight they know she'll win. Her life as a pit-fighter has made her tough and adaptable, but she has a core of genuine compassion that she keeps well-hidden. Her turbocycle is customized to take as much punishment as she can (she's skidded it across gravel, ricocheted it off concrete dividers and sailed it off a cliff --it's only a little dented ). Frethorik: A Bittarii soldier. Young and promising, he is determined to prove himself Worthy and ascend to the rank of Warrior. He will purge the universe of the Unworthy, and bask in the glory of the divinity. Tas: A Technic (i.e., droid) scout, much-modified to survive in various environments. Drives a tank-like six-wheeled vehicle equipped with science gear and a few weapons. Suffers from incurable wander-lust, and is constantly driven to test her survival skills. Kana: A Technic maintenance bot, several (Alliance Standard) decades old. Chief Engineer aboard the Seeker. Short-tempered and aggressive, she often thinks that she is the only really intelligent 'bot on the whole damn ship! Modified to carry extra diagnostic equipment (in her chest) and a chemical fire-extinguisher (in her right arm). That's just some of the Sci-fi ones. Need I go on to fantasy? ------------------ "Do fish-people eat fish, or would that be like humans eating monkeys?" "Humans do eat monkeys. In fact humans eat other humans. . . Y'know, as a species, we are really quite unpleasant." [This message has been edited by Flying Beastie (edited February 14, 2001).]

Guest Vark111
Hey n00t, can I have one of those personalities? I seem to be lacking one here... ------------------ It takes all kinds... The question is, what is 'it'?

Nute Gunray
Out of all the characters I have in my head, my favorite would be a bomber pilot during the third world war named Liz Radetzky. Physically, she's a sexier Natalie Portman (YES). Very intelligent, formerly worked as a engineer with Grumman before getting blacklisted from the industry early in her career (and shortly before she joined up with the Air Force at the beginning of the war). Guest Zoom Rabbit
From a sci-fi novel of my own (unpublished) I pull out of my arse the character Rad Bowman. A seven-foot hyperactive space pirate/thrash bastard who enjoys experiencing the vacuum of space and considers a problem to be nothing more than a moving target. Seldom sober.
