Katarn07
u dont need a joystick for any game (atleast i think), its just another way of playing them(maybe a tad easier) No, you need a joystick for XWA. I fired it up for old times' sake but it wouldn't even let me start the game without a joystick hooked up. MechWarrior 2 was a game I could master without one, though it was much much easier with it. I don't think he can get a job. Are you 16 yet? I was 15 when I got my XBOX at $180, so you can do the same considering new ones are only $100. Pie™
A witty and intellectual man such as yourself should definately go for the Episode 1 game for PC. I think you'll be thrilled with it.

toms
Well, i just bought Obi-wan for xbox... wish me luck. Remember when almost all pc games needed joysticks? They were all simulations like X-wing, Falcon, Mechwarrior, tank games, etc..? It used to be that every pc you bought camed with a bundled vanila joystick. Though of course calibrating those old-style serial joysticks was a bitch. Odd that just when USB and windows removed most of the headaches of installing and calibrating a joystick... the whoe simulator market dies. Get shadows of the empire. Its better than episode 1. Zappa_0
Cheating online for DF2 and MotS big time yes. They are called Cogs, hehhe cogs havent said that in a long time. Some are for good uses and other tormenting the life out of ppl. But you have to love those building cogs, those where awesome. I wish there was something like that for JA, but we do have Lugor Mod. But its not cheatable unlike DF2 and MotS.

toms
Ep1 is more like a undeveloped lego star wars without the charm. Ob1 is, erm, interesting so far. Actually, the only reason I'm even on these forums is because I used to be on the Ob1 forums back when it was supposed to be a mouse-controlled-saber pc game and before they cut out all the stuff that sounded cool and moved it to xbox. So I saw it for £3.50 and thought I might as well try it out - for old time's sake.

Samuel Dravis
I use a Logitech Wingman Extreme 3D Pro. It works very well (I use it mainly for FS2 and Descent), and has a lot of mappable buttons and a thrust control (very nice for XWA). It's pretty cheap as well, so if you get into the habit of breaking it out of frustration, it won't hurt too much to replace.
The Seeker
well, on a system as old as yours, I didn't know what ports you had. If you have USB, that is alwasy easier to setup and config. Otherwise, track down an old gameport stick.
Darth Groovy
Not to sound disrespectful to a moderator but, why do you have to be so mean about it...I can't afford any of those things...That's why I am on Lucasforums...because I can't afford any of the better forums...not that there is anything wrong with this site. It was not at all meant to be a dig in any way shape or form. You are inquiring about good Star Wars titles, yet you have such a limited scope on what you can play. GBA? Not too many good SW titles there. Low end compy? Yeah there is a few, but they are showing signs of age. Reason I bought an XBOX in the first place was for it's wealth of good Star Wars related games. An XBOX is basically a moderate gaming computer WITH a hard drive, so you'll hardly EVER need memory cards. Also you get to play GREAT titles such as: Knights of the old Republic Knights of the old Republic II: The Sithlords Jedi Outcast Jedi Academy Republic Commando Jedi Starfighter Revenge of the Sith Star Wars Battlefront Star Wars Batllfront II Lego Star Wars Hell...you can even play Obi-Wan (A used copy is less than $10 now!) Unless you are shoplifting, or pirating software, I assume you were intending to buy Star Wars titles based on suggestion. Instead of pissing your money away on second rate hand me down titles, why not put the money away, and get yourself a decent console? It really IS the cheapest way to satisfy your aparent appetite for a decent Star Wars game. Yes, these things cost money, but like Katarn said....an XBOX is in the $100 range....waaaaaaaaaay cheaper than a new compy. How much money would you have spent on Star Wars games for the GBA and low end compy? (Most older LA games are considered abandonware these days anyway!) It's like....instead of bitching about all the gas that old car uses....put that money towards a more efficiant car?!?! Oh, and instead of wasteing good money on a joystick, you could put that money towards and xbox, or if you HAVE to have a joystick, get one of these: http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=880707 Retails at less than $20, response is top notch, and not to mention the EASIEST thing you will EVER install on your PC, its all plug and play! I have one for my PC, and it works great on flying sims.

toms
Gotta admit my Thrustmaster Top Gun Fox 2 joystick hasn't been out of the cupboard for a few years.. because no one brings out pc games that use them anymore... XWA was probably the last time i used it. (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000062SSO/sr=1-9/qid=1139925472/ref=sr_1_9/102-7851299-1097708?%5Fencoding=UTF8) It might be worth trying to buy an xbox on ebay with a few SW games thrown in. But sometimes people don't have the cash to hand to make a big purchase like that.. even if it might work out cheaper in the long term than making a load of smaller purchases. Or possibly a gamecube and Rogue Leader, Rebel Strike, Bountyhunter, Clone Wars, Lego star wars and JO... you can get 2nd hand gamecubes for £30 in the uk these days... which is less than the cost of a game. And all those games excpet lego star wars can probably be got for around £5 second hand. So in theory you could get 6 SW games for about $90-$100 which isn't that much easch.. and the intial investment would be less than an xbox (though not by much).
