jorville
In the land battles ive noticed that sometimes when i drag my mouse a certain way a bunch of red and yellow circles appear on the ground. Seems to me like its some sort of unit formation thing, anyone figure it out yet?

wedge2211
Can you elaborate? Drag the mouse in exactly what way?
mattwild
I think he/she means that when you hold the right mouse button when telling units where to go, you can rotate it and select which way you want them to face when they arrive at their destination. I think the yellow markers just mark out where your units will be standing once everything is said and done, assuming they don't get killed on the way. jorville
Can you elaborate? Drag the mouse in exactly what way? Not really sure, i havent been able to do it but a few times and it dissapears quickly, i just pretty much clicked and held buttons and moved the mouse randomly after the first time i saw it, i cant get it to work everytime, but ive seen the arrow things and this is something diffrent i think

BuCkEt!
Each circle represents a unit. Red circles means you're not going to be able to fit your units there. Not sure yet what yellow means, I'll have a look next time I play. You do it by clicking to move, but holding the mouse button down and moving it in a direction you want your units to face. wedge2211
A screenie would help. One time i got a weird green arrow. Can this topic be moved to my observations thread? No, this is better as its own thread--it's a specific topic, not something funny somebody noticed about the sounds/models/animations. I've been playing with this in space combat, haven't had a chance to try on land, yet, though. Right-click and hold, then drag the mouse to generat a small arrow centered at the move destination. Release to order your ships to move to that location and then rotate to face the indicated direction. This is a neat thing for the giant naval slugfests, great for pivoting cannons to bear on the enemy or quickly setting up a capital ship line without worrying about which way your units will take off when you next order them to move. Only thing I wish is that it was more consistent--it seems I can't get the arrow unless I drag only a certain distance from the move destination. Too small a mouse-drag doesn't work, neither does too large a drag, and I can't figure out how far exactly to move the mouse. It would be neat if this command could be used to rotate units in place (ever end up with an AT-AT facing the wrong way?) but it seems like you have to give a full move order to get this directionality option. I wonder why they didn't mention this in the manual?
