mrdefender
For some reason a user of my wrist console can't see the armband in the activation slot, I have confirmed (via screenshots he/she sent me) that the armband is indeed equipped and that the character he's playing is the one that has it equipped but it doesn't show up at the bottom left of the screen.... Anyone have any ideas? :S :'(
The Doctor
I had the same problem when trying to make an armband... I never thought to ask - I thought the answer would be far too technical for me. I thought it was something in the uti file (like maybe I there's a 'trigger' ability or something you need to give it), but that's when my KOTOR Tool broke, and I haven't bothered to try again. Darkkender
I would double check that the icon files dimensions are exactly 128x128 or 64x64 I can't recall which one it is. Also it could be caused by incompatibilities in the spells.2da file or baseitems.2da. I would recomend to the user of your mod to provide you a list of the mods he/she has installed that effect either of those 2 2da files. Including double checking any that use the TSL patcher in case somebody elses mod using the patcher made a mistake.
ChAiNz.2da
Darkkender pretty much nailed it Also, as The Doctor pointed out (you are correct) have the user check the wristconsole's .uti to make sure it has the proper "Activate Item" property and that it's calling your console's row/impact script in the spells.2da... mrdefender
But he/she (ok I'm going under the assumption he/she's a he...) mentioned he installed the mod via TSL Patcher, wouldn't that eliminate any conflicts with spells.2da ? I asked him for a list of his mods and 2da files, but haven't gotten a reply yet. will post it as soon as I have the list. I doubt its the icons, the icon for the wrist console is the prototype shield.. and i can see it fine on my computer and this is the first case where someone doesn't see it at the bottom left... I don't have any TGAs for the wrist console but I'm no where near having a phd in kotor modding
Darth333
I haven't seen your .ini file for the patcher but simply making a new row in spells.2da is not enough. You also have to edit the .uti file and make sure it points the the correct row.
Darkkender
But he/she (ok I'm going under the assumption he/she's a he...) mentioned he installed the mod via TSL Patcher, wouldn't that eliminate any conflicts with spells.2da ? In theory it would eliminate conflicts. However because it's an installer that relies on the creator of the mod to effectively dot all I's and cross all T's there are chances for oversights. Also your mod has a track history of working well for many modders so there is a chance that it may be somebody elses mod that is causing the glitch not so much as yours. It could be something as easy as a simple overwriting of a 2da file or the uti file not making it into overide or getting deleted. So I wouldn't immediately conclude that it was something you did or overlooked.
mrdefender
Well. He just (as in 'now' , not 'only') told me he had a "dialog.tlk not found" error Told him to point it to the right place, this is probably the cause of this problem.
