9/11 Movie?

Recommended Posts

im not gonna try and stop depicting a rue event, if i dont wanna see it, then i wont. but even due to my extremelly liberal philosiphies i still cannot stand Farenheit 9/11, he put so much hype in that movie. Bowling for Columbine was well done, i enjoyed that and the point it had and felt that it was honest, but i felt that Farenheit 9/11 simply was a desperate attempt to expose the corrupt government, now i would like that to happen, but we need to base our arguments on facts, not some **** that a dude just dreamt up. Michael Moore didnt help the liberal cause at all with that movie, he hurt it if anything.

It hasn't even been five years since it happened, and they're already making a movie about it? Impossible to see, the future is.
what's so surprising about that?? a number of WWII movies were made before it even ended. the same can be said of Vietnam. so what exactly are you hinting at??

IMHO, i don't the movie has much more potential than the one network movie that somebody put out a while back about the Hollywood Shootout back in the early 90's. there's really not much you can tell other than the terrorist planning, the lack of airport security, the actual airplanes hitting the WTC buildings, and finally W getting us entangled in Iraqi and Afgani affairs.

if you do it like a documentary, it might turn out alright, but otherwise, i can't see it being much more than a way to milk money out of American pockets.

@Stinger: Yeah, but a few ten-miliions of soldiers getting killed is heroism in hte public eye, a few hundred-k civilians is an abomination. I'm not saying that that's right or wrong necessarily, just pointing it out. Where one can celebrate bravery, the other can only highlight the death and destruction involved, and villify those responsible. Again, I'm not saying that's either necessarily a good or a bad thing, just that it is.

ScieX, first of all, your first post is kinda offensive, and as it's directed at a mod, my advice would be to get rid of it before you get eaten alive ;). Second, your third post has next-to-nothing to do with the topic of this thread, and again, expect some very painful bite-markes from that one...Third, please, don't double-or-triple post. It looks messy and annoys the mods. Edit your posts with the little buttons in the bottom right-hand corner of the post :). Just warning ya for future reference (and so you know to start runnin' :xp: )

bah, you're all messin. This would be an excellent movie -

Ive heard that this project has been picked up by Dreamworks....

However, Hollywood is using some "creative license" (as they always do - aka distorting the truth) and adding:

*Wesley Snipes on the Plane. Kickin Terrorist A$$ Passenger 57 style... his signature phrase for this film would be "Always bet on Bush"

*Bruce Willis, camped out in the WTC, armed with a bezooka and sayin "yippee ki-ye"

*Being directed by Steven Speilbergz of course, there would have to be evil Nazis in there somewhere, yelling out "Schnell Schnell!! Papieren, Juden!! "

thus: Al Qaeda/Nazis vs Snipes/Willis What a movie ! :p

here's a leaked concept poster from dreamworks production design dept.

awesome, No ?? :(

*Im sure PE fans will recognise the title :p
