There's also a gothic-horror game being developed by a indie developer called NIBRIS that involves no shooting whatsoever... But will delve into schizophrenia or narcolepsy, put players into some extreme situations where what you see on screen isn't quite what it's meant to be, a game where you can slit the throats of people using a piece of broken glass... with the Revmote people.

Well even it if the NRV is only 2-3 times more powerful than the GCN, that's a potential of games being twice to three times better looking than Resident Evil 4, and that should be enough to please anyone who is worried about graphics.

Weel, the 360 is 4-12 times the power of the XBOX and the games look 10 to 20% better than xbox games.. so I don't think you can draw many conclusions from pure speed specs.

To be honest these graphics look as nice as anything i've seen on the 360 so far... though they are low res scans of small screen shots and not very large in scope - so i don't doubt it won't quite match up to a 360 game in high res.

Very few games on the gamecube were coded to take full advantage of its hardware. Almost none infact. Mostly it just got ports of the PS2 versions of games, and most of nintendo's first party games use simple graphics that didn't really push it to it's limits. Probably only metroid, wind walker and re4 showed what was possible if you fully coded for the GCN.

Actually you missed my point, I was tryna say that 2-3 times more powerful is enough for Nintendo to keep up with the competition. The difference is that the NRV doesn't run in HD and isn't going to have games where you can see the actual stitches sown into the clothing of characters and that sort of thing you can get with HD games.

And I'm very well aware that most GCN games didn't take advantage of the hardware. Remember who you're talking to here :p I've already said all of this in other threads.

Delving into the mind of a person with narcolepsy doesn't sound all too appealing.

Yes I know that, my point was that we don't actually know how this game will use that now do we.

edit: btw, you bother to actually read through the link you posted?

Hypnagogic hallucinations: vivid, often frightening, dream-like experiences that occur while dozing, falling asleep and/or while awakening.

He means that that sounds like it would make a damn good game. And to be honest, it does to me too. Kind of reminds me of Eternal Darkness.

Yeah but I was just pointing out that narcolepsy may have been a typo or something. The general idea of the game does sound pretty cool though. It makes me think of the game Second Sight, one of my favorite games in the past few years.

Reading are good.

I'm sure reading are good. ;)

But, I mean I want a game that focuses completely on swordfighting instead of just throwing it in a shooting game. Maybe something that occurs during medieval times.

Obviously GI has been slow in getting me the new issue :firemad:

I'll definitely get this game though.
