Alkea sensed the Sith before the first attempts at landing. She clipped her sabers to her belt and grabbed a pack that had been sitting in the corner. Glancing around for the last time, she kicked the door shut, slung the pack on her shoulders and doubled back to the ship where her brother and the others were waiting. Finally those lessons that Tyrannus had taught her would be of some use.

Greea looked at Komad after he gave his response about Alkea. She knew he was right and should have known that it was that brother-sister bond thing. When Komad said that they had to hide, she readily agreed. She couldn't resist asking, "What of Alkea? What if they come across her while she's doing whatever she's doing?"

REaching out with her senses, Greea perceived something that was not what Komad said. She said, "I think she has no intention of hiding."

Alkea ran through the swamp with surprising ease as she headed back towards the ship. Stopping at a tree, she looked up at the sky. With a deftness, she began the long climb up.

"Isn't there a way we can break the Sith's hold on us?" Greea asked. Bad memories from when she met Komad were surfacing and she became a little scared.

Alkea made it to the top of the tree, or rather a sufficient height and began a steady walk through the branches. Relying only on her memory, she navigated the tops of the trees until she came in sight of the Sith trying to take the ship. Maybe the locals will like a piece of the action, Alkea thought. She gazed at the scene trying to determine what to do.

"Alright, hold off, i'll try to shake us off from the tractor beam!" Reyvan shouted. Although his piloting skills where good, he was no match for the Sith tractor beam.

"Damnit, i can't let us out of here! Well guys, get confortable, we're probably are going to get boarded, stripped of our clothes and weapons and me shamed by the Sith. Just my definition of Paradise," Reyvan joked, seriously.

Alkea watched from the trees and was joined by Tyrannus who whispered, "What are you going to do about this?"

"Fight."

"With what?"

"Give me your ship."

Tyrannus was amused by Alkea's demands and told her where to find it. He had trained her well and she was putting it to good use. He watched as she ran with the grace she had acquired and sat back to enjoy the show.

Greea was getting ansy. She didn't like the idea of hiding and she voiced it, "I don't like this idea of hiding. That was how we were caught the last time." She was of course referring to when Komad rescued her and her father.

Wasting you breathe again brother came the comment through the Force followed by a hard jolt of the ship. Alkea was using Tergis' ship to fire at the tractor beam holding her brother and the others. She had a look that looked forward to the prospect of danger. She muttered to no one in particular, "Catch me if you can."

"Looks like we won't have to." Komad said as the ship broke free of the tractor beam. He sent a message to the ship that freed them. "Alkea, is that you in there? Thanks."

"No problemo, oh fearless leader," Reyvan said, pressing some buttons and activating the turrets. Luckily, he could man them from his pilot seat.

He flew the ship through space, aimed while Alkea distracted it, he shot repeatdly at the weapons system's locations, but did nothing than a scratch.

"This is going to be fun."

Greea gave a forced smile. She was feeling better that she could fight her way out this mess and headed to the co-pilot's seat and began adjusting the controls. "Ready when you are Captain," she spoke to Komad.

Confident that her message was received, Alkea maneuvered the ship in difficult moves that only a seasoned pilot would have dared to make. She was an enticingly catch to the Star Destroyer as they tried to lock onto her. She was having too much fun and had some narrow shaves, ones that would have had Komad or her father questioning her. The thrill was coursing through her blood and it was intoxicating.

Tyrannus, still on the planet's surface smiled and went to the hut that he visited Alkea so many times before. Well I might as well keep the residence going, he thought to himself.

Komad got into the gun turret atop the Valkyrie and began firing at the various exterior weapons on the Star Destroyer. The ship wasn't exactly designed for combat, but it did what it had to.

Alkea watched her brother's ship trying to fire and realized that the ship was not cut out for combat. Taking the initiative she brought hers about face and moved into attack position. With all the daring she had left, she took the destroyer head on and aimed at the main guns.

Posted

"I'd advise against that." Komad buzzed on the comm. "Taking on a Star Destroyer in a snubfighter is never a good idea. I suggest we attempt to infiltrate it."

Posted

In spite of the weapons on the Valkyrie being more for defensive purposes, Komad was able to shoot out the shield protecting the hangar to the Star Destroyer. "I have a bad feeling about this!" he shouted as the ship slid into the hangar.

Greea broke the moment of despair when she said, "I am not picking up Alkea's ship on the systems. She's not dead but there is no sign of her vessel."

Alkea managed to disable one of the guns before she coasted into one of the hangar bays. She was out of the ship quick and hid behind canisters. As much as she hated leaving a ship in the open, she had to meet up with her brother.

"She's here. I can sense her." Komad replied. He then stepped out of the ship to look at the damage. "We're going to need to find another ship." He commented. The landing gear had been torn right off by the friction, the engine had been completely ruined by rubbing up against the hangar wall, the upper gun turret had been knocked off upon entry, and it was a miracle the exit ramp still worked.
