The Source
KotOR III & The Mandalorians As everyone knows, Boba Fett's armor is Mandalorian. What is even more interesting is that the KotOR Mandalorians don't look anything close to his. Does anyone, besides myself, think that it would be cool to see Boba Fett's armor become the next evolution of Mandalorian Armor? If Boba Fett's armor was Mandalorian, where did he get it, and how did he get it?
Clone L68362
The right question would be where did Jango get his armor, don't ya think? Because I think Boba managed to get his father's armor and paint it when he became a bounty hunter.
The Source
Does anyone know the name: Journeyman Protector Jaster Mereel?
igyman
Nope, but as for the first question - no I wouldn't like to see Boba Fett's armor in K3. I don't want to see a space ship, an armor, or a Jedi robe that looks anything like those from the movies. The only thing that can and must look like it did in the movies is the lightsaber. The Source
Journeyman Protector Jaster Mereel was a name given to Boba Fett by the author Daniel Keys Moran. You can find the story in "SW: Tales of the Bounty Hunters". This short-story is based upon Boba Fett's perspective of Episode V and VI. I wouldn't mind seeing Boba Fett's armor in KotOR 3. I think it would being a little more connection to the movies.

igyman
I wouldn't mind seeing Boba Fett's armor in KotOR 3. I think it would being a little more connection to the movies. It's still slightly less than 4000 years before the movies. It's too early to introduce anything that looks like it did in the movies, besides I like the existing KoTOR vision of the Old Republic. It's original and it's beautiful.

The Source
I haven't bought a KotOR comic. I was wondering if the series was any good. That Mandalorian armor looks pretty damn cool. I will have to invest some money into the comicbook.
Prime
So far, I have found the series to be off to an excellent start. In general I often find the comics series (at least Republic and KOTOR) to be some of the best EU around...

Does anyone, besides myself, think that it would be cool to see Boba Fett's armor become the next evolution of Mandalorian Armor? I think it's too early to bring the Mandalorian armor style used by Boba Fett into the KotOR time period. There is too much time in between the KotOR time period and Episode II. Mosier
The KOTOR Mandalorians already have the T-shaped visor, that is close enough for me. Style changes a lot over 4,000 years. You don't see any of us walking around looking like Egyptians do you? Besides, I'm annoyed enough as it is that Sith warships in KOTOR are clearly designed to invoke Star Destroyers from the Rebellion Era. It makes the Jedi pretty dumb that when Palpatine started building ships, nobody said "Huh, kinda fishy these things look like Sith ships... Oh well..." Prime
Hey Prime, about what time period is that armor? Not sure of the exact time, but it will be a few years before the KOTOR game.
igyman
In that case there's no way that armor would appear in K3, since Mandalorians are now using the armor we've seen in K1 and K2. Besides, that's a picture from a comic with a story and characters that shouldn't be considered canon, so that armor shouldn't be considered canon either. Ben_Walker
Does anyone know the name: Journeyman Protector Jaster Mereel? Yeah, he's the Mandalorian who took Jango under his wing and trained before they got wiped out by the Jedi. He's in some comic mini-series of Jango's and his game Bounty Hunter. But I agree with not using Fett's armour. Firstly there's the fact of the armour they've used in KOTOR and TSL and I always imagined over the centuries the Mandalorians would modify and adapt their weapons and armour to suit the times. So the Mandalorians in that comic, with jet packs, doesn't seem right since aren't those comics before the games? Don't recall any of Canderious' men with jet-packs. Alan Frost
Yea but there is the Cassus Fett armor you find on Dantoine. I mean it looks like a modified Mandalorian armor, and besides the armor that Boba and Jango Fett use is modified by a Tech specialist so its preety unique, which means maybe Mandalorians dont have a jet pack, or a rocket launcher, or maybe it lost resemblence after being modified. These are just ideas with comfirmed facts, so critisize me all you want.

Besides, that's a picture from a comic with a story and characters that shouldn't be considered canon, so that armor shouldn't be considered canon either. Actually, those comic books are just as much canon as anything else in the EU, such as the New Jedi Order novels... or the KotOR games. I don't think those armors look terribly out of place. I wouldn't go further than that, though, since I agree with you that we don't want to make connections to the movies - they're still close to 4000 years away, and that's a long time. Besides, the Mandalorians in that picture are from the Mandalorians Wars, meaning years before the KotOR games.

Master Urza
4000 YEARS BEFORE THE FIRST MOVIE, 4000 years!!! And...to tell you the truth...I never see their technology ACTUALLY change. They still fly space ships, use laser blasters, and use lightsabers. How long ago was it that we went from land to sea to air? From Swords to guns? From wood to metal? and yet after 4000 years of their time I still never see any...drastic change in material used, weapons used, or mode of transportation. So can someone explain to me why? LOL! Cause I think im missing it!! :
Jedi Master Ray
Yeah everyone pretty much said my arguments for this topic... I don't think its a good idea to put Boba Fett's armour in K3, the fact that its 4000 years difference mainly... and the fact that Jango and Boba Fett were the last of the mandalorians, would make having a unique armour make more sense... but the fact that in this era, there are still alot of mandalorians, the armour they have now are quite fitting I find. Alan Frost
Fitting indeed. But like HK-47 saed "But master, you brought but the end of the Mandalorias, although they do not yet realise it" Im afraid there shall never be the Golden age of Mandalorians, never again. And yes Boba and Jango wear a unique set of armor because it has been modified by a tech specialist. And yes you are right, that doesent make sence now, but you forget that in the game. But you did like the game did you not?
