Revan Skywalker Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 I don't think Jacen is really on the Dark Side. I just think that Lumiya has, hmmm, enticed him with more and more faucets of Force power. And the tempting idea of ending the Corellian war.
PoiuyWired Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 For those who has played the kotor series game, it is interesting that "she" looks like Kreia in so many ways.
Revan Skywalker Posted July 21, 2006 Author Posted July 21, 2006 That is true. I just wonder what Jacen will tell Luke. Perhaps Luke will be able tp tell the truth. All in all, Jacen is in a very difficult situation. He doesn't know what and who to believe, his religion is in question and the fate of the galaxy rests on his shoulders, regardless of what Lumiya said.
Darth_Terros Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Darth Krayt That is i have to say on the matter.
Prime Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 I think he has a tremendous ability to twist any of his actions into appearing noble and moral in his own mind. He is also very susceptible to suggestion.
PoiuyWired Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Blame it on his childhood tremor, weird family, and wicked greatgrandmother-in-law perhaps? I can't help but think Jacen's problems are in some way quite similar to Anakin's(his grandpa, not his really dead brother)
Davinq Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 Of course he should. We accept responsibility [Atris], not cast blame. as said by Jedi Master Lonna Vash, Jedi must accept responsibility for their role in the galaxy.
PoiuyWired Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 Of course he should. as said by Jedi Master Lonna Vash, Jedi must accept responsibility for their role in the galaxy. Well, I thank that applies to Jedi, Sith, and anything in between and not in between. THough quoting some dead Jedi corpse would do little to support the idea, after all there are many old Jedi rotten traditions that needed to do away with, and Jacen definitly agrees with it (well even Luke do away with many of the stagnate traditions).
Darth_Terros Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 there are many old Jedi rotten traditions that needed to do away with, and Jacen definitly agrees with it (well even Luke do away with many of the stagnate traditions). But they are finally seeing the flaw in getting rid of the old traditions the NJO thanks to vergere was corrupted by sith teachings and it seems since luke has put his foot down during the swarm war they are finally becoming the jedi they should be.
PoiuyWired Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 That would only lead to stagnation as expacted. Too many rules would bring the Jedis back to their problematic form.. Now there is a Schism. Soon there will be anouther bunch of sith. We get to go thru the whole Cycle again... Well, at least the circle is complete now.
Davinq Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 I think I got what you meant Poiuy, but I'm still kind of lost.
PoiuyWired Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Well, thats what you get for encompressing thwo whole Jedi/Force/Sith history in a few words from the first schizm to dark jedi to sith to .... etc etc up til current NJO after Dark Nest.
schwager Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 I didn't like the way that Jacen was portrayed in LotF. His arrogance and "different" philosophies regarding the Force made for a turn down the dark path that was a bit too predictable for my liking...
Darth_Terros Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 I didn't like the way that Jacen was portrayed in LotF. His arrogance and "different" philosophies regarding the Force made for a turn down the dark path that was a bit too predictable for my liking... I think the LOTF jacen was pretty spot on remember the guy has been through alot what with the vong war and then dissapearing to learn about all the different force religions i think his going to the dark side is the next logical step. He craves knowledge of the force which there are two sides the light and the dark he's learnt what he can from the light and if he wants true understanding of the whole force he'll have to embrace the darkness too sadly though as we know the darkside corrupts and once you start down that path its very hard to turn back.
swphreak Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 I'm wondering if the writers had this whole Jacen story arc planned since the NJO. What with Traitor, Vergere, and Terros's Darth Krayt thing. Haven't read the comic yet, but it wouldn't suprise me if Krayt is indeed Jacen, he'd be, what, Cade's second cousin? Not good with family trees. Personally, I think Jacen is only doing what he's doing for a certain someone.* It'd kinda suck for there not to be a galaxy for that someone. We'll see when the next book comes out at the end of the month. * his daughter
Darth_Terros Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 I'm wondering if the writers had this whole Jacen story arc planned since the NJO.] Well in the RPG they did have one of Vergeres abilities as being able to speak Sith! And as soon as she opens her mouth in traitor it screams of sith teachings I think its been planned out for a while now everything seems a bit too set up.
PoiuyWired Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 I just want to know how far they would take this. Also I sense that there might be yet another fraction of the force coming that is neither Jedi nor Sith, and no its not Jacen(he is Sithed out)
Darth_Terros Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 Are you on about the imperial knights? because they are pretty much jedi just jedi under the command of the emperor.
Revan Skywalker Posted August 12, 2006 Author Posted August 12, 2006 I don't think Jacen will become Darth Krayt, and maybe he is starting a whole new Force religon. I personally don't believe in the light or dark. Only the Force and its will.
Darth_Terros Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Everything Vergere said about there being no darkside was a lie she was a sith and told jacen there was no darkside so he would use it and taste it power and become easier to corrupt in the long run.
HK-42 Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Darth Krayt That is i have to say on the matter. is that jacen's sith name????????? EDIT never mind now i read the oter posts im still reading num 1 so im perrty behind but i knew he turned and i hope he stays go sith
Prime Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Darth Kryat is a new character that appears in the the Legacy comic series. Three has been no offical confirmation that the two characters are related. Right now it is (incorrectly, IMO) all fan speculation.
HK-42 Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 i hope he does:d sith rule EDIT: I saw Darth Kryat on Wikip he looks sweet:D
