TruYuri
I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but is KotOR Online even possible? I mean, even if it would just be a duel arena, I'm sure it would become major popular. *Maybe* the possibility to do quests, and possibly join parties. What ya think? Emperor Devon
It's impossible. Not only would it be even more difficult to alter than most hardcoded aspects of the game (which are impossible as well), but it could also result in legal action on the part of Lucasarts. The Doctor
That isn't to say that LA itself could liscence a patch that allows one to play KotOR online, but they most likely won't.
Soogz
I wouldn't like it online anyway... People would then start to take it to seriously and become jerks and stuff.
RC-1162
yeah, the whole team-chat thing will be filled with arguements over who's going to be Revan and so on. it's way too impractical, IMO.
Mace MacLeod
There are discussions about this subject in the Unknown Regions--ie: Should KotOR III be online/multiplayer/shooter/MMORPG? etc. The general consensus is emphatically "No" for the following reasons: 1)The KotOR games are immersive, single-player RPGs, not online games where you get repeatedly slaughtered by some teenage Darth Obnoxio. 2) Coding/programming/lag/cheating issues. 3) Discovering and following a story isn't the same as creating a never-ending one. 4) KotOR would compete with SWG if it was a MMORPG, Republic Commando if it was a shooter, Empire at War if it was an RTS, etc. It has a niche, and to abandon it would be very foolish and risky. Let me know if I forgot anything.
