Idk if ill be able to play any this week till weekend. But who knows. interested in using Jk Enhanced though. Wish they would do an edit for mots. but hey these things take time. Ill also get around to making some maps as well. I currently have a hanger like map im working on. I just have got to finish some things on it then it should be good to go for testing. Kurgan Posted November 21, 2006 Author Share Posted November 21, 2006 Well if they did do it, they'd have to do all the enemies and objects for Single Player, which would take a long time. Just the MP portion isn't so bad, yeah there are a lot of skins, but most of them use the same models as the JK skins (though for purposes of JKE, they would probably still have to create some new models so they wouldn't look crappy), and there are only a few new weapons, and only a couple of new pickups. Remember to save your work often (and save a backup copy)... I've heard of far too many projects that get lost in a crash. I'd hate to see that happen to your's! This weekend I'll be getting ready for the last week of classes and then finals and THEN I'm heading home for the holidays, so that'll be it for MotS/JK hosting for me for 2006. Kurgan Posted December 3, 2006 Author Share Posted December 3, 2006 Yep, no problem. There are just too many bugs in that JK/MotS conversion from Massassi.net. The one from http://www.jediknight.net/kicker/ is far more stable (and it doesn't give you super shields or quite so much carbonite and seekers as the other version). The blaster cannon in the Massassi version as a cool idea but poorly executed (buggy!), for example, plus the author's elementary mistake of forgetting to edit the episode.jk file so that the maps rotated properly (which is easily fixed with notepad and ConMan, but the gameplay bugs are still present). FYI, the server is back now, at least until 6pm Central time, standard MotS maps, rotating 25 mins each. JKLE supported. The IP is in my signature as always... Wow, finally a clan battle, and on the day I had to leave! How did it go? PS: About my new avatar, this is actually my FIRST one (I changed it twice in the past couple of years). The only difference from my original one is that it's slightly larger and black & white (plus the santa hat for the Christmas season!).
