Dark Age of the New Republic

Recommended Posts

((No offense Master Nark, although none of us disapprove of you jumping into the roleplay, you essentially posted exactly what Wildjedi did. Luke and Kyle already knew well what happened to Council at the Coruscant temple, and had already agreed themselves to become leaders of the new council, as stated in Wildjedi's post. They did not need a Master, who is lesser in rank than both of them, to "admit" them into leadership of a new Council.

I am politely suggesting a different approach to introducing your character, such as making him one of the many aforementioned "True Jedi" travelling to Ossus to join Luke and Kyle.))

((I was supposed to post this yesterday but couldn't, so here goes my rant too: You know, I don't really think that Luke, the founder of the New Jedi Order and the Grand Master a.k.a. the leader of all Jedi, would be flattered of being placed in just another council. Especially by a jedi from the Old Republic. According to all canon sources, Luke thinks that the Jedi of the Old Republic failed miserably and that their teachings are too extreme. And knowing what I know about the rebellious attitude of both Luke and Kyle, they would never bow down to another jedi like they would be under his complete control. also, I would like to note that probably the whole of Jedi Order that comes back to Ossus will want a council formed by Luke himself, not by some old fart who collects a gang of other old farts who think they know everything about the current situation when really the new generation of Jedi know best. You better change your post a bit))

As the smoke finally lifted from the First Invasion of Tibrin, it revealed a horrid sight to anyone. The cleaning operation began slowly and the first to be piked up were the fallen droids. After that, the true horror was revealed. Young Republic soldiers, loyal to their cause almost to the brink of fanaticism, lay dead on the coral reef with many older veterans and masked Stormtroopers by their sides. Right in the midst of the several races of Dominion forces lay the Jedi, most dead while some still hanging on to their painful lives. The Rancors were caged and the cages were being transported back to the bases where they had been stored in the first place while the Dark Jedi and Sith walked around the battlefield, now joined with the personal guard of the Dark Lord. They were followed by several officers, each with a regiment under their command. The Dark Lord gave them the sectors to be cleaned by the regiments when he suddenly stopped next to a Jedi Master he once knew. He knelt down and took hold of him from the hair, raising the Jedi's head a bit to look at him in the shocked eyes, now glassy and empty. The Jedi had probably been one of the first to have seen the rancors rushing at their lines.

"Every Jedi and their lightsabers are to be piled in Sector 9. After all jedi have been gathered, transport the lightsabers to my palace and behead every jedi and prepare them to be transported to the Masters' Council of Coruscant. All Republic and Imperial high ranking officers are to be beheaded and their heads are to be sent to the respective heads of state. We're making our statement once and for all" he said and slammed the jedi's face into the coral, causing many bruises to the already shocking face. He rose up and looked at the Colonel.

"Call the speeder. We're going back to the palace" he said and thenturned to his Dark Jedi, smiling at them.

"Well done, my Dark Jedi. You have proven yourselves to me once and for all. I have many plans for you, the first being that you will from now on be called Sith Knights. Your current armors will be your uniform and you are to enforce our laws with me and my apprentices as your direct commanders. You will later recieve your designated planets and hear who of us Sith Lords will be your commander. Return to the barracks and get ready to depart within the next week" the Dark Lord said and turned to see a speeder rushing to them, stopping next to the group and taking the guards and Lord Tepe inside it before rushing away again. During the trip, he was informed of the breaking of the Jedi Order and the Dark Lord merely smirked.

At the palace, the Grand General, Grand Admiral and the Colonel escorted him to the throne room where he would recieve the reports, give out orders and send word to the Jedi and his apprentices. As he sat down, the Grand Admiral started with reports of the losses to both sides and how many ships they had managed to take over. Then the Grand General gave out the numbers and told that all survivors were to be executed because of their defiance. The Dark Lord approved and gave his orders to get every fleet and army ready. The Dominion would not attack, but double the defences on all worlds, making it unknowingly to themselves harder for the Sith Hunters to gain access to their planet. It could also be much harder than just avoiding patrol to the Sith Hunters as the archeological corps had been assigned to may planets where once the Sith had ruled and practiced their ways.

Lord Tepe excused everyone from the throne room except for his guards and the Colonel in charge of them who took his seat next to the throne. The Dark Lord did not trust advisors, so the seat was instead for his most loyal ally and the sole protector of his life. He ordered for the holoprojector to be lowered from the roof and so it did, ready to record his message. First would be the report to both of his apprentices.

"Kaoin, Charna... My apprentices. The Republic has started the war again with help from the Imperial Remnants. Arrange your matters and prepare all of your fleets and armies but stay defencive. If you hear of any threats such as factories or important gatherings of enemy forces, make your moves if you want to, but I must hear it from you in reports before I hear of it from my Grand Admiral or Grand General" he said and switched the transmission on. He then gathered himself for a moment, smirking as he touched his bloody face. It was not his blood, but the blood of mthe many victims he had gathered as he had wielded a vibrostave instead of a lighsaber. His black armor was also very much bloody and scratched. He then got in touch with Ossus and with nobody else but Luke and Kyle themselves.

"So it has become then. The False Jedi and the True Sith battle for the first time in the history of the two Orders. The first generation of the New has been phased out? I would surely want to be behind this, Luke, but unfortunately to you, I am not. However, your False Jedi friend on Coruscant will be quite surprised to recieve their Jedi back. Your competitors will be dealt with more swiftly than any jedi organization has before this day" he said, grinning and wiping a bit of blood off from his face. He waited for a snappy comeback if they managed to gather one

(Sorry guys, I didn't realize that, but thanks! And yeah Dark Knight, I can barely get on to jediknight.net either. Redoing-)

Master Gandon Nark was on his home planet of Corellia, thinking about the war that would happen. He knew these new Jedi were not as true to the Order as the Jedi of the Old Republic were. He longed for the Old Republic again, to train in the Jedi Temple alongside his late Master Mace-Windu and his other friends who were now scattered across the galaxy hunting down the Sith and ancient Jedi holocrons. Now he knew that he must deal with what was set before him. He knew the Sith must be destroyed if he was to help restore order to the Jedi, and that was what he was going to do. He began walking back to his homestead, and toward a new winding path in his life.

((Tepe, I think you've threatened with your poking stick too many times... it doesn't have quite the same effect on me any longer :p

And now, Attention to All: By Tepe's permission, I'm taking Luke and Kyle on as PC's in addition to my characters. The Leaders of the True Jedi Order ought to be more involved than just the occasional scene...))

As soon as Charna received Tepe's order to assemble her fleet, she sent out the command to her ships. Within two days, all was ready and Charna contacted Tepe.

"We are ready on your command, my Lord," she told him

"If you were not involved in their betrayal and seperation, I cannot think you have much to say beyond taunting us with our smaller numbers," Kyle snapped.

Luke interrupted quickly. "The Jedi of Coruscant have received what they deserve," he said quietly. Then, his voice took on a more stern tone. "But Kyle is right. If you have nothing further to say, this call was pointless."

Riebe boarded the Ragnarok close behind Strider and Cylia. She took a seat in the cockpit, just behind Strider and sat there in silence for a moment. Then, she leaned forward.

"Strider," she said quietly, "do you remember where it is?"

Tepe grinned at the holographic images of the two Jedi and laughted at them.

"Pointless? Oh, dear jedi, you have become much too farsighted for your own good. I can feel the change of tide in the force. You have lost your way and I am here to correct it, not just to taunt you. You are now the main enemy of the Sith as you are the true jedi. I want you to respect your heritage more and not become like the ones you have claimed to be false jedi. Luke, I am speaking especially to you. As the Grand Master of the Jedi Order, you should know better than the Dark Lord on how to improve your Order. Meditate on what I have said and you will feel what I feel. I have become more connected to the force so I do not need meditation to feel it, but you will. I keep my promise, Jedi. Ossus will still be secured and if you feel threathened that the Jedi of Coruscant will launch an attack on you, I'll blockade your little Praxeum if necessary" he said, grinned and shut off the holoprojector only to slump down on his throne. He placed a hand on the side of his head and closed his eyes while a pain went throught his body. The colonel was up in an instance, supporting so his Lord would not fall from the throne.

"Colonel..." he whispered before falling uncontious. He was swiftly transported to the medical bay where it was found he had a bad injury on his chest. Somehow his armor had been breached by a lucky jedi and the injury was heavy enought to him that the body was starting to fail. It would take him a few days to recover.

The hologram that responded to Charna indeed was not Darth Tepe, but the Grand Admiral. The Grand Admiral smiled and bowed at his Lady.

"Lady Charna. Unfortunately Lord Tepe is still recovering from his wound at the battle a few days back. However, I have your orders here. You are to dispatch reinforcements to the systems on the list we're semding to you now. Tepe is also arranging a meeting inside the Cloak of the Sith in exactly two days. You and Kaoin will be tested while the Sith Council is to gather to talk of the split of the Jedi Order. The coordinates are also being sent to you as we speak. Good day to you Lady" he said and bowed again to her.

A small fleet of Pirate ships cruised apparently in the middle of nowhere. Two cruisers were pulling a large object onto a seemingly straight coordinate from somewhere to somewhere. A corellian cruiser floated around with the captain of these pirates inside and his closest men speaking of how they would handle this. They had the two cruisers, a carrier, a Crusader-class battleship, two corellian corvettes, the other modified to have gravity well projectors, and a couple of modified Luxury Liners that now were armed from head to toe. The pirates inside the ships were all ready and armed if they would happen to cross someone that wasn't as friendly as they should. They would wait for the Ragnarok to appear so their leader could speak with them. They had assembled in the only hyperspace route out of Gerv. The crew did not know this, however, as it was irrelevant to their current order and after the slaughtering of the leader of the pirates by their new leader, it would be just foolish to stand against him.

((This is of course Danera waiting for Ragnariok to leave Gerv so he could speak with them about the help he promised. With the full database of the pirate organization and it's spies, he'll be really helpful))

"I don't, no, because even though I voluntarily arrived, I was not conscious when brought to the room with the rest of you, just as you all were," Strider replied.

He tapped some buttons on the navicomputer, and then said, "But the Ragnarok was there. They used my own ship to bring me - And it still has bits and pieces...several years of this ship being absent in my possession some valuable information got erased, but we'll just have to piece together the clues we have for the time being."

The Ragnarok lifted out of the hangar once the remaining Hunters climbed aboard as well, and flew out into space. They made the jump to hyperspace, using the aforementioned only hyperspace route, unaware of the pirate group awaiting them along the path.

((The pirates will be able to analyze the information Strider sends to them regarding the Sith planet they need to go to, and thus be able to help piece it together and give them the answer they're looking for.))

As the Ragnarok was forced out of hyperspace, it was locked on with all the weapons of the Pirates and it's weapons systems were forced to be shut down before the Corellian Corvette that was the flagship of this small fleet started to pull it in. After a quick docking of the two ships, the Ragnarok's doors were opened by an astromech and several pirates came inside the ship, finding quite some resistance waiting for them. The Rodian leader of the small boarding group laughted and looked at his fellow pirates before bowing deep at the Sith Hunters. All the men were wearing gray capes and many had been equipped with A280 blaster rifles with a strap going around their necks for easy carrying as a plus to their own blasters. The rodian stepped forwards as the pirates lowered their weapons and spoke in a fluent Huttese to them.

"Hands up, slimeballs. Boss wants to have a word with you" he said and then nodded to a Gungan and a Vodran who stepped on both sides of the entrance, making sure nobody slipped past them before the Sith Hunters would be back from their little visit. The rest of the pirates walked the Hunters down the corridors, which were painted dark gray as the white hurt the pirate crew's eyes, of the Corvette. They stopped by the door of what used to be the door to one small conference room but as it opened, it revealed that the two conference rooms and a storage room had been combined to make a large room with a small band in one corner, art on the walls and a stage where the pirate leader and several of his highest ranking men sat speaking to each others. Another stage was located in the middle of the room with a twi'lek and a zeltron female both danced around a pole. There were several guards around, blasters ready to be used at any moment. As the Rodian cleared his throat and announced the Sith Hunters, the largest chair, resembling much of something from Palpatine's oddly shaped chairs, turned around and Danera sat there, smiling at the Hunters kindly with his cape a bit sloppily on the chair and even on it'sarm rests. He stood up and greeted the Hunters by standing up and excusing the Rodian and his men. As he sat down again, he made sure his cape wasn't sloppily set on the chair this time.

"Ah! I was waiting for you, my friends! I told you I would take control of the Brigade, didn't I?" he asked and pushed a button on his arm rest. Several chairs lowered from the roof for the hunters to sit on.

"I thought you would never leave. Let's speak more privately, shall we?" he said and nodded to everyone to clear the room for them. In just a moment the room was empty and ready for them to speak personally except for the Zeltron dancer who approached Danera and leaned forwards to scratch his chin with her other index finger. She purred lightly before the pirate leader sent her away with the rest. His eyes followed the sensual woman all the way to the door and stayed with her until the door closed and he could concentrate on the Sith Hunters.

"So... Where were you heading then? I have gotten some rooms ready for you onboard this ship so you can rest for a while and meditate before you do any great deeds on your own" he said and smiled at them before leaning back on his chair

(Sorry im getting confused. I'm redoing the last part of that post.)

"Yeah I've felt the disturbance too. The Dark Side has clouded everything. I think we should find Luke and Kyle," she replied. Then Gandon spoke, "That would be our best bet, they'd help us out." Then he embraced Katie and they prepared for what was to come.

"Cute trick there, kid," Riebe quipped staring at Danera and still keeping respectfully away from speaking his name. "But your pirates are lucky we sensed you here... you've seen us fight, so I think you know that." She smiled slightly and shook her head. "As for where we're going, I don't really know."

"We're going to the planet the Sith Hunters were genetically altered on," Jahara offered helpfully. Riebe nodded.

"Yes," she agreed. "But of the original Ten, only two of us remain. Even if all ten of us were still around, we couldn't tell you exactly where we were. All of us were brought to the training facility unconscious and we left in such a hurry, without intent of ever going back. Strider's ship has the coordinates we think, since it was there for a time. We were hopefully heading toward the correct planet when you pulled us away from our journey. And so here we are."

At the end of the message from Tepe, Luke closed his eyes momentarily.

"He's right," Kyle said, looking to Luke.

"I know," Luke answered, slowly opening his eyes. "If the Order is to survive, we have to take his advice... and perhaps his aid."

"Aid?" Kyle demanded, startled. "You're actually considering the possibility that we'll get attacked?"

"Oh, there's no doubt of it," Luke answered. "I can see that now. The Jedi of Coruscant view us as old and useless, teaching our students old and useless ideals. Kyle, if we're going to survive this, we have to take on a more aggressive stance. Inform the knights and other masters it's time to start training harder in combat styles and moves."

"What happened to your mention of the last time the Jedi participated in war?" Kyle asked warily. Luke shook his head.

"Last time the Jedi participated in war, they were thrust into it and accepted their roles," he said. "This time, war will come to us. It's defense, Kyle. We are defenders of the peace. Sometimes, a little fighting breaks out in the process of keeping the peace." He smiled sadly. "We can't always resort to diplomacy."

"No, you're right," Kyle agreed slowly, tapping his lightsaber. "It's why we have these, I suppose." Luke nodded.

"Tell everyone to begin preparing," he said.

A look of concern crossed Charna's face, but she said nothing as the Grand Admiral relayed her orders. "Thank you, Grand Admiral. When Lord Tepe is able to hear it, inform him that I have received and understand my orders."

She turned to Admiral Maxmillan. "Engage engines," she said. "I'm inputting the correct coordinates." Moments later, the fleet began to move away from Naboo. A few minutes after that, Charna's fleet sped away into hyperspace, leaving Naboo far behind.

Danera smirked at the Sith Hunters and leaned back in the comfortable chair.

"So, you basically need to get those coordinates found out from the Ragnarok's computer... I can do that. However, it'll take a moment and the ships already are running low on fuel due to the preperations to get you out of hyperspace. We'll refuel at the Shadowport" he said and pressed a button on his armrest. A small holoprojector popped out and the captain of his ship sat there.

"Yes, sir?"

"Take us back to Jargon for a refueling. Also, contact the engineers and get them to start working on the Ragnarok's computer for the exact coordinates. Tell them to check every coordinate immediately. We'll either find out which planet it is or if it's mixed with another coordinate. Send Jaraz here too. I think the quests need some rest"

"Yes sir"

A moment later, the door opened and a Wookiee walked inside, growling as a hello.

"Ah, Jaraz, take them to their rooms. And tell the others they can come back inside" Danera said and turned back to the Sith Hunters.

"You are free to join me here at any time you feel like it. There will be music and dancing all the time unless I'm having a private conversation with my men. If that is the case, my old and trusty Battle Droid Pilot will be standing outside as a guard" he said and then stood up to watch them leave. The Wookiee called Jaraz walked with them, showing them to their small but sufficent rooms.

------

After Charna had cut contact, Kaoin was contacted by the Grand Admiral.

"Lord Kaoin. You have new orders. You are to leave for Roon inside the Cloak of the Sith to complete your training. The exact coordinates are being sent to you now with the latest news on the battlefields. Lord Tepe wishes that you arrange everything with your generals before you leave, for you might be away for a while"

------

The Grand Admiral stepped inside the Dark Lord's meditation chamber where he was recovering from the medical treatments and to get back in touch with the force. The officer bowed his head quietly and waited while the levitating Sith was grunting of visions from the past and the future. When Tepe opened his eyes and looked down upon the officer, the Grand Admiral looked up and saluted.

"Yes, Grand Admiral?"

"Sire, both of your apprentices have recieved word. Your ship is also ready for your trip"

"Thank you. Notify everyone of my departing. Keep the defences strong. I want to return to the same Sith Dominion that I left behind. If the Jedi of Ossus are to try and contact me, patch it throught to the Cloak of the Sith. Otherwise, use the channel only in emergencies. Call my Colonel and tell him to meet me by the shuttle"

"Yes, my Lord"

So the Dark Lord left for his ship, lowering first to a hoverchair and then moving it first throught the door and then to then landing platform where his shuttle and the guards waited. His flagship waited in upper orbit for his arrival with every free crew member lined up in the hangar to greet the recovering Lord. The rest of the crew were all ready on their posts and with the coordinates set for the hidden planet of the Sith, Roon. When the Sith Lord had arrived, the huge Dungeon Ship started moving out of orbit with a rumbling stronger than the thunderstorms of Kamino. The rumbling suddenly stopped as the ship seemed to stop and then with a bright flash it made it's way into the ever so exciting hyperspace

((You know, this could just be the planet you are looking for, taking that it's been rumoured in the galaxy that the Cloak of the Sith has been controlled by the Sith since the New Sith Wars. It would be Roon then))

Strider remained as the rest were towed away by the Wookiee, looking at Danera. Danera knew very well what Strider was going to say when they said it.

"You know I won't turn over my ship to anyone, Danera. I wish to be present when they decide to attempt to get into my navicomputer. I can access the data in which it is located, but it is broken into segments, some uncompleted. You will likely have to piece together any knowledge your pirates may have with it to complete the data," Strider stated, hoping Danera would know better than to keep him from his own vessel.
