SilentScope001
"Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it." Alright. Kreia hates the Force and wants to see it die. What she doesn't know is that it already happened with an earlier race...the Rakatans. They formed the Infintie Empire, and took over the whole galaxy using the Star Forge. Then, three things happen: The Star Forge causes the Empire to collaspe onto civil war, a plague attacks the Rakatans...and the Rakatans lost their connection to the Force, like the Vong. The Rakatans speculate that they lost connection to the Force via inbreeding. I wonder...could the Humans eventually lose their own connection to the Force, gradually, by breeding? That, eventually, the Humans hold over the galaxy will athropy and collaspe...like it had with the Rakatans? Not as deep or philopshical as Kreia's life, but still something to ponder and worry about. Also, the Rakatans had no Force. But their lives were still miserable. That does prove Kreia's hypothesis and beliefs somewhat wrong...had she known.
Mr. Crusty
but it was the star forge itself that caused the rakatans to lose their powers, it corrupts all its users to the dark side and eventually drains away all their force power, revan knew it and in tsl, some characters tell u that revan knew his centres of production would not last forever (because the forge requires the dark side to operate but sucks you out of force ability), i think goto talks about it when you talk to it about revan. also i believe bastila tells u thru the holocron on korriban that the star forge wasnt meant to be a permanent source of weapons n ships, etc.
jonathan7
I thought it was a mixture of the 2, eg. the rakatan inbreeding (which is one of the side quests on the unkown planet) and the fact that the star forge would drain force unless people where suitibley trained (eg revan, malak) in resisiting its effects. Emperor Devon
It's actually never stated that the Star Forge cut off the Rakata's connection to the Force, just that it made them more and more hateful. The confrontation with Malak seems to imply the opposite of that, too.
Vaelastraz
Humans would not loose their dominance over the galaxy, because they do not rely on the force...
Rabish Bini
What Vael posted is true, and here's another reason, if Force sensetives did not become Jedi, but instead had children, then they would also be Force sensitive, and it would keep going. @Vael-Have you beaten my score at that jump-through-gate game thingo? It's 256.
