DarthShgaad Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 I've got a question to tk102, if I may ask it...
Rev7 Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 The only problem is when you are on nobody else is. But I suppose that is not something that is really "fixable"... otherwise it is a pretty cool place to "hang out".
tk102 Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 If nobody's on when you arrive, leave an interesting hyperlink for others.
Darth InSidious Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Has the chat been abandoned for a reason? Or is it just bad timing?
Rev7 Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 I think that the chatroom has been rendered obsolete...
Emperor Devon Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Has the chat been abandoned for a reason? IMing took over amongst the old regulars for the most part.
Sabretooth Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 I think that the chatroom has been rendered obsolete... It has now become my realm of infinitely sanctified darkness. Muhahaha.
Hallucination Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 The chatbox died from a lack of love. THE CHATBOCKS KNEADS MOAR TUTTI FRUTTI SUMMER LOVE!
Ferc Kast Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 What happened to the chat box? I was on it until a second ago when it told me the following. Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (61) in /webhome/starwars/public_html/chat/index.php on line 59 Warning: mysql_select_db() [function.mysql-select-db]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (61) in /webhome/starwars/public_html/chat/index.php on line 60 Warning: mysql_select_db() [function.mysql-select-db]: A link to the server could not be established in /webhome/starwars/public_html/chat/index.php on line 60 could not connect to DB EDIT: N'er mind; It's working now. EDIT II: What the?! EDIT III: I was stuck with a grey-box until it decided to show the chatbox once more.
Hallucination Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Sounds like the server was having some trouble. Just wait for the elves to fix it.
Rev7 Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Yeah it was bugging out on me too. As Hallucination said, its probably the server.
Sabretooth Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Good, now let us forget that such a thing ever happened.
Rev7 Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Much better now. Edit: The entire StarWarsKnights.com is down, or at least for me. When I type in the address, it says that the "web page cannot be found". Just to let you know...
Revan 411 Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Can someone help me with how your user name appers in the chat box? I'm sick and tired of being called gust.
tk102 Posted May 19, 2008 Author Posted May 19, 2008 You need to login to the forums with the "Remember Me?" checkbox checked. Then go to the chatbox. The cookie set from Lucasforums will set your name. If you're using IE7, you may have to allow 3rd party cookies for lucasforums.com under Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Advanced
Rev7 Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 I don't think that you understand what I am talking about. My "cookie filter", so to say, is set at medium. It blocks third-party cookies that doesn't have a compact privacy policy. Maybe I am not understanding it?
Hallucination Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Lawls, I thought you meant that you found one that was too long to read or something. That sounds like it something that your filter does automatically, so did you look for some way to unblock sites manually?
Rev7 Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 I can change the filter settings. But, I share the computer that I am using, thus changing the settings for the entire computer. But I guess that I could change it back once I am done...
Hallucination Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 That'd be pretty tedious, especially since so few people use the chatbox. If you can't find a permanent solution that is easy, I recommend not even putting the effort into that and just trusting people to not impersonate you.
