Pokemon? Why is this not dead yet?

Is the screen hard to see on them?

Is there a huge reason to not just go the DS route?

1. i liek mudkipz

2. It is pretty small.

3. Not really, unless you want something extremely portable. I can conceal it in one palm, perfect for class.

It's quick gaming on the run, and it's Game Boy, of course I like it lol, I have lots of GBA games. I also have a GBA SP, DS and DS lite. I used to have an original GBA but traded it in to get the SP. Never owned the original, pocket or color GBs, but have played them plenty of times.

But as good as the GBA is, the DS outclasses it completely since it is a GBA and a DS at the same time :p lol.

I've still got a Snes and an N64 sat under my bed... I'm an ancient keeper, i've got a mega drive, Mega Drive II, Sega SAturn, Psone, Playstation, (Big and small versions), Two original gameboys (<3) GBA, GB pocket, GB Light, (Has an eerie green backlight, found it in a shop in tenerife lol), GBA SP, GB pocket, Sega Gamegear...(List goes on) I Really did like the Nintendo stuff up intil the release of the GBA SP, then IMO it went downhill after that. Maybe because they target them at the "younger people" (No offence Lynk ;) )

ahhhhhhhhhh consoles...... wel love em and I LOVE NINTENDO! NINTENDO WILL TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!! in a few years...

GBAM rules aswell! That will help nintendo take over the world! That's enough training for today.

Let's not get nuts. I'd rather that Nintendo stayed the underdog. They're doing great things in their efforts to shake things up.

@ TSR: Don't worry, I'm only 8.

EDIT: What was wrong with the SP?

I still don't understand. The original GBA ran on normal batteries, the GBA SP ran on a built-in rechargable battery and the battery life was longer. The original GBA had no light, the GBA SP did. The GBA SP was more compact than the original GBA. It was the original GBA, but better.

And if you're all angry at the fact that upgraded versions of the GBA exist, note that this occurs because certain materials to make them better have finally become cost effective. Things such as better lcd screens and lithium-ion batteries with a longer life become available later on in the systems life. It's the same reason why the DS lite exists and why the GBA SP got an upgraded screen when the GB micro was released.

Hell, if Nintendo wanted to they could release another upgrade for the GBA SP to make the battery life last 30-40 hours.

wow 30 - 40 hours again geewiz! The micro when you charge it it only lasts about ten hours at the most and that's pretty c**p but it has a light an all and it can play it under my bed sheets in the dark and see well. I love my Micro. so far i have played my Emerald for twenty three hours!

I agree. When the DS came out, my hate towards Nintendo began. I won't explain why though. And I've grown tired of Pokemon now and I completed all the ones from Red to Emerald.

@ TSR: I don't like Nintendogs.

@ Topsite: Ironically when I first heard about the DS, my excitement over video games grew. Before the DS I was growing bored of everything that was being released for everything. The DS and then Wii brought something new and without them I would've quit video games.

But you know what the funny thing is? Ever since the DS was released, the age demographic that has been buying the DS have been teens to older people. The Game Boy on the other hand has retained all of the children as its core audience. The DS ain't doing too bad for itself for a childrens handheld huh.
