Doctor Who! Doctor Who! :D

EDIT: That was Christopher Lee and his character was Saruman. How dare you belittle those movies?!

How exactly was I belittling the movies? Because I wasnt getting the name of the actor or the name of the character right? >_> Im not very good with names...

A creepy look does help, but youre right, its not necessary... the creepiest of villains I think are the ones that act and look like "average joe". I dunno I just like villains sometimes that actually look evil, not just good at playing the nondescript stalker that is evil... though thats entertaining too in the right setting. *shrug*

But they've already set the Master to return, he's already been cast. I believe this info was revealed in DWM. Or on Confidential. Either way it's been confirmed, but I don't think I'm too thrilled about the casting. It's what the Master does that matters, not who's playing him.

Since when did they confirm the Master is returning? All I've heard is that there have been a bunch of claims in The Sun saying actor John Simm will be playing him, although he hasn't confirmed of denied it. I dont think its been comfirmed for definite. Although if they did, thats totally spolied it for me. :(

I was going to say about John Simm being in Doctor Who, after how well he did in Life On Mars. Apparently, Phillip Gleinster who plays Gene Hunt in Life On Mars confirmed John's involvement, within Doctor Who.

I was about to say, I haven't heard anything about the Master returning - and I keep up to date with this kind of thing as much as I can. I'm sure I would have heard of something as big as this.

Personally, I don't think the Master should return. Like I said before, he was always a weak character - a 'fallback villain', if you will. Someone they could throw in to make a mediocre episode slightly more exciting. To be honest, I'd rather see the Black Guardian come back in some fashion.

'The Time Monster', 'The Deadly Assassin', and 'The Keeper of Traken' vs. 'Enlightenment' and 'The Armageddon Factor'. I rest my case :xp:

@topic: Season 3 rocks! The Daleks' Master Plan FTW!

Daleks in Manhattan was quite good, imo. I watched it with my gf in a starbucks seeing as it doesn't air regularly here in Canada.

I found the accents amusing and the plot line interesting. Part of me wonders how the Daleks continue to survive. Is this third or fourth reappearance of them so far? I did like the assertion of the Head Dalek about the continuance of the species and their ultimate need for purity. All in all I enjoyed it but god damn it I hate two parters. I cannot wait to see how this goes. I won't ruin it for anyone else here who hasn't seen it.

At 6:35pm, Daleks in Manhattan aired and I thought it was one of the best starts to a two parter episode, but I've always preferred episodes in the past than the present or the future. The only thing I disliked was that they used the pig people, since they weren't too good as henchmen.

  • 2 weeks later...

Oooooooooooooooooh... the next Dr Who looks like it will be awesome! And the spaceman from Season 2 is back I think.

Lazarus Expirament was ok, but it wasnt as spectacular as Gridlock... and Torchwood returns... Somehow I knew that guy was working for them as soon as I saw him. heh

Agree's with Doctor.

I hate to be bringing back a dead horse but has anyone else noticed been hearing the name 'Mr.Saxon' repeativally much like Bad Wolf (series 1) and Torchwood (series 2). If so have you noticed that

'Mister Saxon' is an annogram for 'Master No six'

Clever huh?

And thats relevant to Dr Who, how? I used to watch the Doctor back when I was little, but I remember little about it.

And I wish theyd stop doing adventures on earth in different times so much... >_<

The Lazarus Experiment was okay, but not as great as the previous episodes, but much better than The Runaway Bride. Anyway, I'm annoyed that here in the UK, we now have to wait two weeks for the next episode for the series, since something is on. But, due to the spoilers of showing all previews for future episodes, they shown:

John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness and John Simm as Mr. Saxon.
