my ideas for KOTOR III

i want a new one. the coolest would be a small child, which u actually have to get through a whole jedi academy, and (like in the game "fable") just gets older after a little while. then at a certain moment when ur strong you either join a jedi council (light) or slaughther lots of them and leave(dark). then, a LOT depends on your choices early in the game, because with this you could have lots of different plants (or pieces of planets) and make each path have different location, story, party members, etc. this is my own ''class tree''

after that you could get titles like:

grand master jedi (leader of jedi academy)

dark lord of the sith (leader of sith academy)

etc.

The idea of starting as a child has been brought up several times before. Many people (including myself) have no desire to play a child, nor spend a significant amount of time dealing with the rather boring (compared to being at the center of a galaxy-spanning struggle) aspects of training to be a Jedi.

it could be just a smell bit, like in fable. hmm lets see what other ppl think shaal we ;)

honestly even the short training period of fable seemed too long...

i think it would be cooler to start out with two customizable characters instead of one: Revan and Exile :D since they both went to the Unknown regions and the core of KotOR is Revan's fall and redemption (kinda like the movies are about Anakin's)...

A well-written story and playing as a 12-year old are mutually exclusive.

I wouldn't want to be the Dark Lord of the Sith/on the Jedi Council either - way to complicate the game. Sounds more like a way to stroke fanboys' egos to me than advance the plot. :)

I've seen this suggestion a few times dude, and I'm not convinced. It would overcomplicate the game in my opinion and introduce plot points that more easily be covered in conversation.

An older Sith Apprentice though..... that would be good.

what if you actually STARTED as a sith for once, and choose to stay in the dark or go to the light? i mean , in TSL, it is so that in the first half or so of the game there arent really any darksidey answers. its always jedi this, ex-jedi that.... what if everyone assumed for once u are a sith, and not a jedi? i mean at the start of TSL it already begins : atton : ''hey, you must be the JEDI" liek, no! i wanna be a sith!

Because the Exile never received any Sith training. The closest you could be to a Sith would be a Dark Jedi.

thats what i mean! i wanna be a sith for once, an ACTUAL sith instead of having this whole fallen jedi thing.

If you were actually a Sith, I also think that that would make an interesting twist, and a better storyline, not saying that the first two KotORs didn't.

I think that KotOR III should be able to actually teach another about the force (in more dept), have the oppurtunity to teach a young padawan, and the ability to customize your starship. Along with the choice to be a "grey" jedi. In other words, having the knowledge of both, the light and the dark side. :)

yeah but being a kid could only be a temporary thing!

Only for 9 years in the game world... Really, whatever happens in the PC's childhood can be better explained through flashbacks or conversations with NPCs who knew him/her then. What on earth could going through puberty as a Jedi add to the plot? It sounds more comical than anything else.

Well I can see the purpose of the childhood thing. Though I'm with those that say it should not be a big part of the game. Perhaps something at the start of the game, like during character creation. This way you build your own history. People react to you as the historical "you" and you must shake that past, embrace it, or use it to your advantage.
