Sven_Q45 Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Here´s my first thread here and with a question. Are Dr Fred and Dr Ubermann the same speakers? I think so, when I listening to Dr Fred or Ubermann.
The Tingler Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Yes. Although I'll leave it to someone else to say the actor who played them!
Udvarnoky Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Yep, that's Nick Jameson, who's also Max in Sam & Max Hit the Road, Darrel/Mavis in Full Throttle, Hellbeard in EMI, Coach Oleander/Dr. Loboto in Psychonauts, and possibly a bunch of other minor parts in some other LucasArts adventure games.
Sven_Q45 Posted February 3, 2008 Author Posted February 3, 2008 Ok. But I only have Sam and Max and Full Throttle in german. I want bought the XP-version of FT, but now I have the german re-release of Full Throttle. And we have the german voice of Barth Simpson as Max. Speak as a woman. And in Sam and Max from Telltale we have the same speakers as in Hit the road. You don´t have the same, I heard.
The Tingler Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Thanks Jason! I knew it was one of the major guys, I just couldn't remember who!
Sven_Q45 Posted February 16, 2008 Author Posted February 16, 2008 Just played the demo of Sam and Max Night of the Raving Death. And Superball has the same voice, like the IRS in Dott? Or was it my imagination?
The Tingler Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 Hmm, now that would be interesting! Same type of voice, but not sure if it's the same guy!
Udvarnoky Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 No, Superball is voiced by Peter Barto, who does a lot of Sam & Max voices like Flint Paper, Peepers, and a bunch of others. Although, the guy who voiced Santa in Ice Station Santa was the voice of Blondbeard in CMI!
Sven_Q45 Posted February 16, 2008 Author Posted February 16, 2008 Mh, ok. @Tingler Hey, maybe it can be a allusion of the IRS people in Dott!
Sven_Q45 Posted February 25, 2008 Author Posted February 25, 2008 A stupid question, once again. Has Hoagie and George Washington the same speaker?
Sven_Q45 Posted March 1, 2008 Author Posted March 1, 2008 Hallo? Is there a list with speakers from the LucasArts adventures?
elTee Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 There used to be. If you hunt around on the wayback machine for that site (go to http://www.archive.org and type 'http://actors.mixnmojo.com/' into their search engine to get a full list of archived versions) you might find the Day of the Tentacle page - can't find it myself but I only browsed quickly! Good luck. Also, IMDB will have these games.
urluckyday Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 Man, I can't tell you how much I'd like to be a voice actor in a Lucasarts game...but alas...they stopped making classic games a long time ago...
Sven_Q45 Posted March 1, 2008 Author Posted March 1, 2008 There used to be. Drat!! I can´t open it! It doesn´t open. and then I closed the Firefox and it says, that it´s already runing, but it was closed! And I resarted my PC and the Firefox, but it doesn´t work. And I closed the tab of this site and my Firefox works now, again. Is there an other site?
Sven_Q45 Posted October 9, 2008 Author Posted October 9, 2008 Yep, that's Nick Jameson, who's also Max in Sam & Max Hit the Road, Darrel/Mavis in Full Throttle, Hellbeard in EMI, Coach Oleander/Dr. Loboto in Psychonauts, and possibly a bunch of other minor parts in some other LucasArts adventure games. And the ivory hunter and Von Beck in Indy 6. And Jim Ward was "Soldier 2" in Indy 6. And who are the "Soldier 2"? There are 3 kind of Nazi-Soldiers in chapter 3, 5 and 6?
jp-30 Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Sometimes Mobygames has good info. eg: The DOTT entry has german actors roles, but only english actors names.
Sven_Q45 Posted October 15, 2008 Author Posted October 15, 2008 Hey that´s a good one but in this case it doesn´t help. Is that really the "Star Wars Arts" Jim Ward?
