IG-64
Yeah, no it's not. If it was, it was maintenance.
ET Warrior
The Ministry of Truth would like to point out that Youtube is not currently, nor has it ever been, down for maintenance or otherwise.
Monkey Mania
Every other site works. I tried on both Firefox and IE. This is not a public computer. Instead of locking my thread, can somebody give me an explanation?
coupes.
It's definitely not down. Where are you trying to access the site from ? Maybe the address was blocked. Are you using a router ? Try using an online proxy to access the site. If it works the problem is related to your router, try restarting it and delete your hosts file. ET Warrior
Maybe you've got a block put on the youtubes, but I just loaded 4 random youtube videos and they all works, pinging youtube.com loses 0 packets, and everything is a-ok hunky dory. The problem is on your end.
Monkey Mania
It was just working. I can't believe my router would just suddenly decide to block youtube.
IG-64
Not to be horribly crotchety, but next time you should PM a mod to dispute the closing of the thread instead of making a new one. It was locked because youtube being down does not constitute a thread topic (unless it's been down for, say, a few days or something) and you could just wait until it's back up. If the problem is on your end, you should ask for technical help, and maybe even go to the tech forum. If the problem is resolved, I will close the thread again. Monkey Mania
Is Youtube hosted on several different servers? If so, perhaps the one in my area went down. I'm not crazy. http://forums.gametrailers.com/showthread.php?t=386656

MrWally
I wouldn't say some random person's account on another completely unrelated website that also has several people saying it wasn't affecting them is really "evidence" per se. But to each his own. Honestly, it was probably just a random coincidence in which two people happened to post online about the same issue each occurring on their own end of the internet at the same time.
