I googled these yesterday on a whim, remembering how it was the first Star Wars that I had ever played:p Still good for some light entertainment, imho.

Any other good abandonware that you know of? And if anyone is familiar with the game, is Day of the Tentacle considered that yet?

Ah, beautiful abandonware. I remember there was a site, I think it was Russian. Top-notch abandonware there. I raided it every weekend and found some new. Mostly it was some ancient B-grade DOS game, but hell, that's what I came looking for. :D

Abandonware can be great fun; a pity that so many people cannot bear the pixelized beauty of those games anymore. For anyone with a hint of history, I'd suggest looking for Commander Keen, a sci-fi platformer made by a bunch of people who would later become id and invent the FPS genre!

These are both fantastic games and they're still a lot of fun. I highly recommend giving these games a whirl if you haven't played them before. You won't regret it.

Played them already? Don't you think it's about time to play them again? :carms:

Abandonia.com is a pretty good site to find abandonware. They're pretty good about legal stuff, too. If the ESA prevents the game from being legally downloaded, they mark it as such and take it down. I've played several fun old games from there, like the original Zork. DosBox is the win!

OMG!! They have 4D-Sports Boxing!! Awesome game, thanks for the link.

I also recommend http://www.the-underdogs.info/ as another website to go check out.

I must stress however that Abandonware is illegal to download. Even if nobody profits, copyright law is against this sort of thing. I do support abandonware, and it is rather unlikely the cops will bust down your doors, but I have to warn you in case that happens. Breaking the law is highly immoral in many cases.
