Suntzu21
The specific problem I have really isn't a game threatning problem, but it is annoying. Whenever I use the jedi speed thing, my screen turns black (not to the point I can't see though). Is this how it's supposed to be, because I remember when using jedi speed, the screen would have these white speed things around. I used to have TSL before I upgraded to vista, graphics card the same ATI, and yes I have updated my drivers.
Da_Man_2423
No, it probably shouldn't be like that. If you want a quick fix, just don't use that power.
Suntzu21
problem is that jedi speed is a rather useful power....
Da_Man_2423
Yeah, but you don't need it to beat the game. Do other powers cause weird things to happen?
Suntzu21
no, just this one force power.
Da_Man_2423
This is definately very odd. All I can think of is try reinstalling the game, and triple checking your drivers. Your hardware meets the game requirements, right? What's your specs?
EnderWiggin
no, just this one force power. I would just use the stoffe's fix to eliminate the speed effect altogether. _EW_
Marius Fett
Try using Stoffe's fix. Damn you Ender.
Suntzu21
Where is it exactly this stoffe fix...
Miltiades
Newer ATI drivers screw up the Force Speed effect. You could try installing older ATI drivers, though if you're playing other (newer) games, that may not be the most satisfying solution. You can turn of the effect by turning on the "Frame Buffer Effect" in the Graphics options, I believe. Or apparently, use Stoffe's fix...
ChAiNz.2da
Where is it exactly this stoffe fix... Post #3 http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=182306 In the future guys.. if you're gonna say "just use the fix"... at least post the link to it or offer it via pm
Suntzu21
thank you so much for the link, it worked! Oh and yes it's probably my ATI driver that's causing the problem. So glad I don't have to turn off frame buffer now.
