LordOfTheFish Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Is Microsoft really making a hand held system? That is what my cousin said. Sounds cool but, I haven't heard any rumors or anything. ~Fish~
M@RS Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 I've heard about it too...hmm let me see if I can find anything. here's an article about it http://www.gamespot.com/news/6152161.html
Nicomon Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 It looks really neat on the picture, two thumbsticks too. I wonder what it's graphical capabilities are?
LordOfTheFish Posted August 27, 2008 Author Posted August 27, 2008 I found this: The Xbox 180 (cute new nickname for the original Xbox that is sweeping the nation) didn’t have much of a presence. Just that games such as Mortal Kombat Armageddon, Destroy All Humans 2, and LEGO Star Wars II will all be playable at E3.
Da_Man_2423 Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 That was said at E3 2006... This is all speculation at the moment, nothing concrete.
LordOfTheFish Posted August 27, 2008 Author Posted August 27, 2008 Thats what I thought. I saw something on yahoo answers saying "There will be a Xbox 720 released around 2010/2011."
Da_Man_2423 Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Yahoo! Answers is a pretty unreliable source in my opinion...half the time they don't cite anything, and even then it's usually mumbo jumbo.
LordOfTheFish Posted August 28, 2008 Author Posted August 28, 2008 Yeah, I doubt it 100%, but just thought I would mention.
Ctrl Alt Del Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Either they're referring to Zune that quite honestly, friends, is galaxies away from any decent handheld system, or they're simply shooting on the dark. If something related was announced, I'm sure even the average gamer would know.
LordOfTheFish Posted August 30, 2008 Author Posted August 30, 2008 I saw a couple of pictures that looked like some sort of handheld system. Probably photoshopped, though.
Da_Man_2423 Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 I saw a couple of pictures that looked like some sort of handheld system. Probably photoshopped, though. Most definately photoshopped. It's actually remarkable how realistic they can make them look, though.
Serpentine Cougar Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 The picture in the Gamespot article even says "And I shall call you...fan-created mini-Xbox mockup!" I don't think this is gonna happen.
LordOfTheFish Posted August 31, 2008 Author Posted August 31, 2008 It would be neat if they did, though.
GeneralPloKoon Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 I tihkn an xbox portable would be dumb. But hey, they want money I bet it'll happen.
M@RS Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 I kinda like the idea, it's kinda dumb, but at least they'll make more money.
LordOfTheFish Posted September 2, 2008 Author Posted September 2, 2008 I guees they think that's the best way to stay in the game with Sony and Nintendo.
Agent_Katarn00 Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 I personally am mainly a nintendo guy when it comes to game console. I am a ultimate pc guy over everything. But it would be pretty cool if they made a xbox 180. But i don't have an xbox so my opinion doesn't really affect that much.
LordOfTheFish Posted September 3, 2008 Author Posted September 3, 2008 Well I guess it wouldn't necessarily have to be called the 180, but maybe more along the lines of "Xbox Portable", wow that was hard to come up with.
Jacob Nion Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 I hope they do make it because I know I would buy it. It looks really awsome.
LordOfTheFish Posted September 4, 2008 Author Posted September 4, 2008 If you are going by the pictures on google, then you are deceived. Those are fake, totally photoshopped.
Ctrl Alt Del Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 It's pretty hard to tell if a handheld console that's not even confirmed would be cool. And we have to be realists here, Micro$oft has no experience at all on that department.
LordOfTheFish Posted September 13, 2008 Author Posted September 13, 2008 Yes, but neither did Sony and the PSP has been a great success. Not to mention, Microsoft, seems to be pleasing gamers all over the world more than any other company.
