LordRevan999 Posted September 2, 2008 Share Posted September 2, 2008 Ok,the Prime Minister has been saying that the presidential elections will be held on 6th of September,the date today is 3 as its past midnight so you can say that the day of 3 has not started yet,my question to the people is “Who should be the next president?” 1. Asif Ali Zardari (PPP) Info on Zardari 2. Saeeduzzaman Siddiqui (PML-N) Info on Siddiqui 3. Mushahid Hussain (PML-Q) Info on Mushahid Hussain If you ask me, getting musharraf to leave presidential office was a good but also a bad idea. Cause now the next president might be even worse then him or better. I don’t like Zardari personally because he hasn’t done anything that he promised before the elections of parliament. The reinstatement of all the deposed judges has not been done and it seems that PPP is just making excuses and more promises. PML-N on the other hand did a good job in choosing a candidate who was a judge himself and if anyone can reinstate the deposed judges its him in my opinion. Talking about PML-Q well they already showed that they can not do anything except ruining Pakistan for the previous years till 2007 elections. I don’t trust this party or their candidate no matter how influencing their candidate is or their party. I don’t like the Prime Minister either. And I am afraid that if Zardari becomes the president of Pakistan then Pakistani’s are in so deep trouble:(. P.S: We are already in deep trouble:firemad:. I'll just call him Duzz. Also, I find it odd that google does not show any results about him... Eh, but that's just me. I'm an english speaking American. "Hi, I'm Dr. Evil, vote for me, I must be good - I have a simple English name" @topic - I don't know enough to comment, though I hope Pakistan gets a wise and venerable leader, that will be able to counter terrorism, fundamentalism, without bowing to the west. I'm not even sure if Musharraf's departure was a good idea, seeing how he kept the country stable (and more pertinent to my interests, he kept relations with India decent and level). Sabre--I don't think Musharraf really had much choice--it was 'leave or be impeached'. LordRevan999 Posted September 6, 2008 Author Share Posted September 6, 2008 Zardari has won the election.He is the new president of Pakistan.Only less then 10% votes of the assemblies (except one)have voted Zardari hence he got 459 votes and there is one assembly whose votes are being counted.So Zardari have won because he got more votes then required even without one assembly result.My response was like NO!!!!!!!!!. But I will give him a chance because every body deserves it.Let us see if Pakistan is democratic again or its again in the hand of iron hand ruler(dictator).
