Smon Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 So I'm playin' Final Fantasy VII. The interbutts would have me believe it's GRIMDARK and Sephiroth-drama. Then Cloud is in a dress, then they threaten to cut some guy's balls off, then I'm driving a motorcycle, and I'm like "THIS GAME IS UHHHHAWESOME" But it's still not worth all the hype.
Sabretooth Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Final Fantasy stopped being awesome after FFII came out.
Great Scott! Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Final Fantasy stopped being awesome after FFII came out.You mean Final Fantasy III on the Super Nintendo. VII sucks major BAWLS.
Inyri Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Sephiroth has the cheat codes and turned on god-mode.
Smon Posted September 16, 2008 Author Posted September 16, 2008 You mean Final Fantasy III Yeah, FF3 is my fav- on the Super Nintendo. wat III for the NES is the BEST. The only Final Fantasy I have ever purchased was the remake of 3 for the DS.
Great Scott! Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Final Fantasy III's all right. Final Fantasy III/VI is a godly nostalgic masterpiece.
Great Scott! Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 In the mainstream series, twelve (or thirteen if you count X-2, but just don't). Less than half of them are good.
alliespixie Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 hmmm so i guess my next question is: is it a good enough game to try out or not
Sabretooth Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 hmmm so i guess my next question is: is it a good enough game to try out or not Only the first too. I hear they're out on the GBA now, so you should get a good deal for them or something. Don't try anything after that, it all sucks hard.
Great Scott! Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 I, III, IV (II on the SNES), V, and VI (III on the SNES) are the only ones to bother with.
Smon Posted September 17, 2008 Author Posted September 17, 2008 how many of them are there? Main series: NES I II III SNES IV(II) V VI(III) PSX VII VIII IX PS2 X XII PC XI Sequels: PS2 X-2 VII: Dirge or Cereberus PSP VII: Crisis Core Those are the main series' ones that tell the story and everything. I like Final Fantasy... sometimes. I like the ideas that they bring, but the stories are fairly ANIME GRIMDARK. The only RPG's I have ever loved and beaten are the Mario RPGs.
jrrtoken Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 I'm stopped playing them after VII. I'll start playing it again once they release Final Final Fantasy, but I'll probably be dead by then.
Rogue Nine Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 FFXI was released for the PS2 as well, FYI. I don't really count that abortion as an official Final Fantasy, though. VIII, X and XII are really, really good games in their own right and you're missing out if you just stop with the overhyped and overrated VII.
Inyri Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 OVERRATED FF7. Just wanted to repeat that for those who missed it.
