Blix
The Ultima Pearl is a pretty good crystal to upgrade your saber with if you can't get (or just aren't lucky enough) the rarer more elusive ones.
Rabish Bini
The PC crystal. And the robes would be the ones which you get through glitches/what-not, I can't stand those "medieval dresses" as I like to call 'em
JesusIsGonnaOwnSatan
Armor(Shem's Sith Lord Armour Mod Used): Sith Lord Armour(a_robe_26) Upgrades: Ballistic Mesh Shielding mark III, Armorweave Underlay mark V - this gives you a almost perfect melee shield plus damage resistance against lightsabers. If you are not a baddie: use the KOTOR Tool to remove the restrictions to dark side, sith marauder, sith assassin, sith lord so you can wear it on light side and neutral. lol i use shem's sith lord armors as well. they're awesome! Darth_Yuthura
I really favor crystals that increase wisdom (Kasha, Kalibur, PC crystal). And an attack crystal (Uphari, Sigil, Ultima pearl) I'm not one for the 'special properties' such as enhanced attributes. If attribute crystals could stack, such as kalibur and PC crystal adding up to +10 wisdom, that would be what I'd always use. The keen, droid-damage, stun, regenerate, and massive critical hit damage are really not as significant compared to the last game. The upgrade parts make all the difference. I just wish there were a source from which you could obtain all items for a price. I hate games where I want an item, but it never shows up. If I could, I'd always get a dark jedi knight robe instead of those neofite(whatever) things. They're acceptable for everything but that skirt-like thing. What's with that? Endorenna
It's Zam Wessel style! If you can't find an item you want, use the KSE to get it. For the saber parts, you can just give yourself about 8000000 components and make 'em.

(i shoudve put a quote) The Ultima Pearl is a pretty good crystal to upgrade your saber with if you can't get (or just aren't lucky enough) the rarer more elusive ones. i have by 'critical hit saber' with ultima pearl and opila with critical hit enhancing upgrade parts. its got a huge critical threat. (2-24 i think) I'm not one for the 'special properties' such as enhanced attributes. in my experience, they offer a significant boost to your character. Darth_Yuthura
in my experience, they offer a significant boost to your character. Yes, but the overall effects are not as significant I think. If you have a crystal that improves your agility by 2 points, you only benefit in attack/defense/skills by one point. Compare that to an additional 1 attack and 6 damage from a Sigil crystal. I think the damage potential is much more valuable than the attributes. Kalibur and the PC crystals are the only exceptions, but there's only one PC crystal and the other is just rare. I favor greater damage potential over attack add-ons more as the game progresses because attack bonuses become less significant. As your maximum force points increase, even wisdom becomes less significant.
ShinDangaioh
For Bao-Dur, the Mining Uniform, since it can accept a Level 2 Armorply Overlay(The ONLY overlay it accepts) along with the highest level Biorestoreitve Underlay For the other characters, I tend to use the Jal Shey/Zeison Sha armors since they can accept overlays and I can put overlay on them that can mitigate some of the damage from blasters and lightsabers. For the lightsabers, I use Pontite Lens, either Tergon Jolt Cell or Diatanium Cell, and the Expert Fencing emitter.

I usually equip him with heavy armor to compensate for his lack of defence. Mining Uniform next time
ShinDangaioh
Yeah well. I found out about the Level 2 Armorply Overlay(+1 to Reflex, +2 to Stealth) useful for the mining uniform trick by accident. It will not accept a Level 1 Armorply Overlay or any other Overlay. Environment Underlays and Biorestorative Underlays are the only underlays the Mining Unifrom can accept. As soon as I lay my hands on an Immortality Belt and Anakarian Blinders(prevents stun and horror), Bao-Dur gets them. He's more a close combat specialist than anything and that is where the Immortality Belt shines. Instead of preventing him from getting hit, I do my best to reduce the damage he takes from hits and heal. The Jal Shey/Zieon Sha Armors can accept some Overlays which make them better than the standard robes. The only reason to use the standard robes can be taken care of with a Force Focusing visor. With the exception of the Jolee Robes(Kreia), I tend not to use Robes. Vissas gets a robe, since she does not have any armor proficiencies to start off with. Darth_Yuthura
All things considered, the choice of armour is not that significant; so long as it can accept a biorestorative underlay. I hate the Jal Shey / Zieon Sha things because they are just ridiculous to look at. If there were a way to use Force powers with any other amour, then my personal preference would be the Sith Battle suit with 7 defense and 7 dexterity. Lightsaber preferences vary throughout the game. In the end, I prefer the saberstaff with the PC crystal and Uphari with the works for upgrade parts. ShinDangaioh
There's a mod that removes Force restrictions from armor for TSL. I don't have the link for it since it was a mod from Filefront and I was in a mad download state at the time I came across it. You dislike the appearance of the Jal Shay/Zeison Sha armors, I dislike the appearance of the Jedi Robes in TSL. With that mod however, I start using the various armors that looks like the Bondar Alloy Suit(what Carth was wearing during the Battle of Telos) or in a dfferent color, since I find those armors the most asthetically pleasing to me. I was just going with the plain vanillia TSL for this question.
Darth_Eradycus
Armor/Robe: Dark Jedi/ Jedi Master robes with the bio rest. V underlay Unless i'm using 90SK's Robe mod. Saber: Dbl Sbr with Ultimate Diatium Cell, Expert Fencing Emitter, Pontite lens Sigil and Upari crystals, sometimes Qixoni and Upari when i'm darkside. I too, hate the Zeison Sha/ Jal Shey armors. might not be bad if they didn't have that flappy crappy thing on the back.
Gothic90
Ossus keeper robe+bio underlay male protagonists got battle precognition, WIS modifies defense when not wearing armor. and bio seems to be the only good upgrade that's available 4 robes. Pontite lens+fencing emitter+diatium cells
