went running today, decided to do 30/60s intervals instead of just running, need to get faster somehow and this is probably the best way, just keep sprinting then when i go to run a 2-3 mile i'll be able to run it faster without getting tired 1/2 way through.

do you get lines through the tv screen when it happens? (similar to a blender being used how it puts those static lines in the picture) i had that happen then it just froze, now it won't even show a picture....going to try it again tomorrow then i'll probably get info on what to do next. it's annoying when **** breaks, especially now when i don't have my computer hooked up and gotta use this old thing.

my feet are really sore. wish i could quit my job and just focus on pt. damn bills.....

got my registration sticker in the mail today, so now i don't have to worry so much about getting pulled over. working 12-9 tomorrow, think i'm going to go to sleep so i can wake up before the moon gets hurt. (0721?)

my next day off is wednesday....i'm hoping someone will want to switch with me on thursday so i can have wednesday and thursday off again. going to put in an availability change tomorrow so i get thursdays off.

No. Sometimes when I go to switch it on, it doesn't do anything... just the red ring.

If I turn it off, wait about 10 seconds, and try again, I'm usually fine. (Once or twice it took a couple of tries...)

I've never had it happen to me while it was already on... but then, I'm sure I have many less hours of use on mine than yours.

Bummah.

Oh well... that leaves more time for running and pushups, 15! :D

Long weekend ahead of me... just as soon as I get this last meeting behind me today.

Couldn't have come soon enough. I should NOT be THIS burnt out this early into the semester... this does not bode well for the next 3 months which have historically proved busier and more stressful as we go through them.

I think I'm in for a long school year... :(

Weird night.

I wasn't going to go out today at all... just spend the day in taking it easy, catching up on rest, and desperately trying to get myself sane again.

But late this afternoon, 2 offers to go out came up:

1.) Go see an all-girl Roller Derby regional semi-finals with a bunch of dudes from work...

Or:

2.) Seeing M. singing at a "New-Age" gathering at a church in Cambridge.

Tough call...

I went with seeing M. sing... though it could have gone either way.

I probably would have had a far more memorable and epic time at the derby... (although some of the weirdness I saw and herd at this meeting will probably stay with me for a long while...) but, other than the girls competing, it would have been a total sausage fest... And I'm sure that I would have been the one left to drive a bunch of drunk guys home.

Instead, I got to hear a lovely lady sing, drive her home, and have a nice long dinner with her as we caught up on the last couple of weeks since we saw each other last.

Like I said... tough call. (I think I went with the right choice... Though, I'm not all that sure I would have even gone out the the derby, anyway... I really wasn't in the right mood for it. Maybe next time I will, however...)

they brought in this assistant manager that is annoying as hell and the reason i quit pizza hut was because i had a boss EXACTLY like her, just not as bad. This is how she introduced herself to me:

hi, my name is Wendy, i'm the new assistant manager over your departments until John gets here, what's your name? ok, there's a cart of returns in home furniture, go put them away.

no please, no thank you? the way she "asks" people to do things is like it's not a question, and if you're seen standing even if it's helping a customer, you're told to do something. like non-stop working.....it's annoying as hell and not what i've experienced in 4+ years of working for walmart. if it was like this from the beginning, i'd have quit long ago. normally, i'd not mind going to work today, but now i am contemplating calling off. if today goes like yesterday, i'm going to go onto a register so i can't be harassed the whole day.

the funny thing is, if she stays a few weeks and then leaves and things to back to 'normal', it's going to feel very strange.

now before anyone says anything, i know the military is kinda like this, with people being in charge and being given orders to do stuff that seems to make no sense, but the same thing happening in a retail store?

that bitch can go **** herself.

Good news so far for the week: I found a battle buddy hold-over on Facebook who also failed the pt test and got discharged. :)

Good thing you added this bit, because I was so going there.

Every manager has a different style. It usually depends on their inherent personality and who they learned management techniques from.

I'm usually pretty freewheeling as long as I see things are getting done... but when worse comes to worst, I can bring the hammer down when I have to.

I don't like that part... so I try to avoid it and make it very rare.

@keyan: lol, yeah that's why i added that in there. :p

just found a new spot to go running right by the delaware, just paced it out, it's about 5 and a half miles. parking spot isn't too far, it's 16 miles closer than the other place i run at. my only concern is which side to start from...since i'll have to run back to the vehicle, making it around 11 miles.
