Star Wars: Battle of the Dark Jedi

((Hey, Admiral_Thrawn? That's Force Drain you're using, right? Because that's the only power that can be used to do such a thing. And how was Nihilius reborn? Oh, and Cyborg Ninja? Does Cade has his old Mynock ship?))

As the shuttle left towards space, the Sith shuttle was about to make hyperdrive. Inside, Lyna was thrown in a detention cell by two Sith cultists. When the force fields came up, four figures came in front of the detention cell. When they pulled off their black hoods, they revealed their faces.

One was a young Cathar. She looked about 17. There was also a Chadra-Fan, who was somewhere in his early 30's. The Thisspiasian who captured Lyna was was young, probably twenty-eight in human years. The last person was Human male, who looked twenty-five.

Lyna stared at them. These people looked young. Even to be Sith cultists. The female Cathar spoke. "Oh, don't worry, Lyna Honso. We won't do anything to you. Our master is most pleased to deal with you and your pitiful friends."

"How'd you know my name?" Lyna asked. "It's quite obvious, really," the Chadra-Fan said. "Our master was told by the Holocron of Darth Krayt." Lyna eyes widened. "Oh no..."

"Oh yes," the male Human said. "And when we get to Korriban... be on your best behavior. By the way... since you've seen our faces, I'm Trano Kast. The Cathar girl is Milana Ros. Her specialty... drain the Force with her palm that turns into a mouth. But we'll get into that later. The Thisspiasian is named Demal Lorn. And this smart lookin' Chandra-Fan's name is Himi. Just Himi. And we're the Followers of Darth Krayt."

Lyna stared at them with horrified eyes. So the rumor was true...

"Hope you have a good rest," Milana said. As they all laughed and closed the door behind them, Lyna sat down with her back against the wall of the detention cell. She bit her lower lip, trying to fight the tears.

((The story behind that I'll explain later Skywalker, but the main fact is that his spirit endured. Also the force power is the one wielded by Nihilius, force drain, but on a much higher level.))

Nihilius stared blankly out over the city. Thousands of bodies littered the floor, hundreds with there mouths still contorted in a ghastly cry of terror. Then he looked up to the corvette. Not a craft worthy of a Sith Lord . . . he raised his hands and brought them down fiercly, the ship smashing into a nearby skyscraper. The entire complex fell to the ground, not even a single pinnacle endured his wrath.

Perhaps . . . he had revealed himself too soon. Not that it mattered, no being in the galaxy could stop him. He would not fall as he had millenia ago . . . he was Nihilius, Lord of Hunger. The world had changed since he had last seen it, not that such memories held any meaning for him anymore. The only emotion . . . feeling he had, was hunger.

If only he had enough power . . . to once again strip a planet of its life. He knew such events were far off, considering the fact he would have to grow slowly. This massacre would draw a hell-a lot of attention from the authorities. Then . . . he felt a great source of power.

Nihilius reached into his hosts memories . . . well not host.

His spirit had endured all this time, waiting for a ripe oppurtunity to supplant a powerful being. He had sensed the rise of one named Skywalker . . . but he seemed to be far too well-known to be easily taken care of. Then Nihilius added two plus two and realized.

So this source of power was the offspring of Skywalker . . .

The true reason he had taken Kandar was simply because he had great force potential, not that to match the legends of old, but enough to become a powerful being. So he ensnared his energy and reformed physically.

Nihilius snapped back into reality and realized his thoughts were contorted, muddled. His thoughts kept crossing into each other, redirecting his . . .

He was growing hungry again. Even a thousand souls would not quiet his appetite, not for a single second. Then he suddenly sensed a disturbance.

For him a good thing, for the Jedi a bad. He sensed Sith, possibly followers of a Cult he had heard mentioned. Nihilius leapt into the air, thundering to the peaks of Coruscant. Then he gripped a shuttle and swung it round and round, until it reached huge speeds.

In a quick whir he was upon the craft and spacebound, pursuing a shuttle. He focused his thoughts on the shuttle and spoke in a cold, ancient and metallic voice. "Enkraa' esmoor . . ."

The shuttle hurtled planetbound.

TK-777 looked down at the ground. It wasn't everyday he actually got to look at it. He was usually looking at who was shooting him and why his gun was always inconveniently jammed. He had no idea what the sith cultist were talking about... come to think of it did he ever really? TK-777 waited for them to leave before taking his post in front of the cell.

"That Krayt guy sounds like a real party boy huh" TK-777 said to the jedi.

TK-777 leaned against the wall and began whistling.

"I hope you don't mind me whistling, cause if you do I can stop... and sorry for the little roughing up they gave you, I guess its a jedi sith thing." TK spoke to the jedi again trying to make small talk.

Lyna looked up at the Stormtrooper with a surprised expression. Out of all the Stormtroopers she fought long ago with Cade and the others... this was her first time actually meeting a Stormtrooper who sounded carefree. The young woman smiled.

Then she chuckled lightly. "No, it's all right. I don't mind you whistling. And yeah... Jedi and Sith don't usually get along too much. I mean too much, too much." Lyna placed her hands together, sitting on a cell cot. Then she looked up at the Stormtrooper again from behind the force field.

TK learned two things about this jedi captive. One thing was the jedi was a she and two was she seemed nice.

"I can believe that, my grandpa... or was it my great grandpa... or was it... forget, well he was a stormtrooper under Vader and let me tell you if a dad and a son are fighting each other you know jedi and sith don't like each other. My name is TK-777 by the way but you can call me TK, or whatever you feel like... but nothing rude...or offensive...maybe offensive in the right context."

Ohesiu stood at Atrila's side and grabbed her arm "We don't we run"

After he said that, he dragged her with him trying to put distance between them and the red armed being. What ever it was, no one was ready to face him, not yet. But if that thing kept going at a quick rate, they'd never be ready. They needed to head to the Jedi temple, and speak to the council.

Ohesiu knew that heading back would be hard, he turned away from the order no longer believing in they're teachings.

"We head the the Council, and see what they say"

-------------------------------------

Zeb Alavai laid in his cell cot looking at the ceiling, listening to the storm trooper talk to the jedi. He honestly didn't believe anyone could as much as that guy, it was a struggle just to get him to be quiet for five minuets. Zeb rolled on his side, putting his hands over his ears humming.

He thought he was being so careful with the Sith Cult, he worked as they're smuggler getting them things they required, so how did he end up in a cell? Of course he knew all to well how he got here, he wanted out. Didn't want to be involved in anymore of the destruction they'd bring. Zeb was surprised they didn't kill him. He chuckeled slightly thinking that they were using this pathetic stormtroop in an attempt to drive him slowly insane.

Slowly Zeb stood up, walked over to a far wall and leaned against it looking out through the force field towards the stormtrooper.

"Hey buddy, why do you let me, and our little Jedi Princess go huh? I mean what would be the harm" he said trying to use his charm.

((I've been reading them, very good so far, I'll try my best to connect there))

Gerris looked up as the dark creature or human, or whatever he was, jumped away from the fight, and toward a shuttle that was outbound. He stood quickly and rearranged his weapons. He then went about finding his targets....again.

This hunt was disgruntling him.

((Thanks Commander, I was referring to everyone elses posts. They seem to think im still standing upon a building with glowing red arms even though im currently in a aircraft, throwing a shuttle earthbound ^^))

The Hungerer watched as the shuttle slammed into a power station, triggering a huge explosion and for the briefest of moments he felt his hunger withdraw . . . and return with a vengeance. Then he looked down at the area effected by the explosion. Three skyscrapers were levelled, many more critically damaged. He gestured briefly at a tilted structure, destroying all remnants of the foundations.

The building tumbled down, slamming into another skyscraper, which in turn fell upon a nearby plaza. Then he brought both hands together, unleashing a brutal shockwave upon the remaining skyscrapers. Every death was another small bit of power for him. He drank in their despair, their fear. Then he turned south west, to a huge tower. This was a Jedi enclave . . .

How simple it would be to displace so many Force-Wielders . . . and in turn drain them of their power! Then he remembered the Cathar, she was strong in the darkside.

He would simply manipulate her into believing his work her own. As for the young-old figure. If he had enough power to sense treachery, then he had enough to fuel Nihilius' powers. So much so that he could turn this section of Coruscant into . . . rubble.

He thought back to the Hunter and drew upon his force signature. Every lifeform had one, save the Yuuzhan Vong. He forged a link and then set into motion a illusion to draw the Hunter to him. He needed one talented to lead his new army. His new legions.

The Nightsisters of Dathomir had done well so far. Allowing him to regain form of mind and body. So many targets . . .

He absently flicked a hand in the directon of a residential complex. Thousands of Civilians cried out and then were silenced. He hadn't felt this powerful since the destruction of Alderan, but now he had a physical form.

Atrila freeded herself from Ohesiu's grasp

Maybe he'll finally see reason

Atrila walked over to the hunter and held up her arms in a sign of peace

"Listen to me...you and I have had our battles. I'm not going to pretend that we aren't enemies, but we have to stop fighting each other for the time being and start focusing on whatever it was that destroyed all those buildings and people."

Atrila stared at him

"If we don't take that thing out, eventually it will kill you and I. The hunt will be over for you forever."

Atrila held out her hand and silently hoped that the hunter would agree to help.

"As soon as that thing is gone, You and I can resume trying to kill each other to our hearts content."

((Don't worry, Admiral_Thrawn. I too read every posts carefully. I understand where you're going with your post. :D ))

Lyna smiled. "I'll stick with TK. I'm Lyna Honso, by the way." It was good to talk to someone, even if she was in Sith captivity. But then she heard another voice from another cell.

"Hey buddy, why do you let me, and our little Jedi Princess go huh? I mean what would be the harm"

Lyna raised her eyebrows. This one seemed confident enough to sweet-talk his way out of prison. What was he doing here? Was he another Jedi or someone else? Lyna then wondered how far they were to where this Sith shuttle was headed.

Gerris froze at the sight of the Cathar, her gesture of truce was...unexpected.

He then felt some sort of drawing on his mind, but to what, he didn't know. He looked back at where the creature or human had been. There was some wierd need to follow.

Gerris shook the feeling off and looked at the Cathar's hand. He bit his lip and frowned, every bit of him wanting to stand up and eliminate her. But something in him didn't want to do that, and he knew she was right.

He sighed and, hesitantly, grabbed her hand, giving it a firm shake.

He said only a little,"So be it, Jedi."

Gerris straightened up and brushed his armor off. He didn't know what to say, but he continued to glare at the Cathar, not knowing what else to do. He really didn't like having allies, so this was purely a new experience.

Ohesiu stepped out of the shadows behind Atrila, his face cold and hard. He looked at them both, uncertain about this truce, but was willing to accept it for now. He'd watch the hunter carefully, making sure he didn't do anything to betray the truce to soon.

Ohesiu could feel the presence of the thing that was slowly destroying the city, and he knew standing around for to long would get them killed slowly.

He looked at them both "So what do we do next?"

"Now...I believe would be a good time to go to the Jedi Temple and try and get more information on whatever this new threat is."

Atrila turned to face the Hunter

"Thank you for helping us, I'll try and persuade the Jedi council to authorize any amount of payment that you wish to you."

Atrila looked out across the devestated landscape

"We need to stop this thing...and soon."

Ohesiu lept from the building they were standing on and started jumping form building to building heading towards the Jedi Temple. He stopped on one of the buildings, and looked back. If they headed straight towards the Jedi Temple, wouldn't that being be able to sense the large gathering of force energy. Some one needed to slow it down, give the council time to act.

He took his lightsaber from his thigh then activated it. His crimson light glowing off the ground around it. He stood there knowing doing what he was thinking ment he wouldn't be coming back, but he lived in the shadows of mourning long enough about his past. But here now in the present there was a threat, and he at least needed to be slowed down.

Ohesiu stood there, looking at the destruction "lets hope the council doesn't take to long" He started his run towards the new threat.

Nihilius found him . . .

"Kerthaask . . . ennooor . . . erteenth"

Now he would wait. The illusion was in motion and the hunter . . . would find him. He looked then to the North. Far, far to the north. Using the force he extended his sight, a thousand fold that of a ordinary being. He gazed upon the ice-white towers of the Jedi Temple, gleaming under the sun.

Soon . . . the Jedi would be destroyed and the Sith Cult disbanded. Even as he wrought havock unto this world his armies were awakening. The Sith armies of old would arise and this time no Jedi would stop him. He was weaker, without aid from the Lord of Hunger. But it would only take so long to undo this galaxy now.

He also remembered the Yuuzhan Vong. He would apply their immunity to the force to his army. Then . . . give them control over it. They would not have the force in them, they would simply direct its might.

They would be equal with any Jedi Knight, with any threat. They would be ultimate. The power they retained from a age long past would have to be drained . . . and devoured.

He would grow stronger . . . and they too would do so. This Cathar would make a fine apprentice. She is weak in the force, but strong in the darkside. Which would make her corruption all the more simple. In fact, her earlier rage to the Hunter is what enabled him to overpower his host.

When she finds out that he unleashed him, she will fall so easily. Then rise . . . as a Sith Lord. All the more amusing is that his other prospect for a Apprentice, the Hunter, was her enemy. The hate, anger and rage that the two unleashed upon each other, creating him, would undoubtably lead to one falling.

As for the figure in white, he knew well how to mask his emotions. But his neutrality would be short lived. He would serve Nihilius or die at the Jedi Temple.

Nihilius' foresight allowed him to foresee his end many millenia ago . . . and now he could foresee the possible end of another . . . or his ascension!

It was time to render this part of the city, dead. He didn't even gesture a hand. His eyes simply glew red . . . a violent passionate red. Anything within viewpoint of Nihilius instantly fell to the ground, fire bursting up everywhere, the floor simply exploded, the ground turned black, with a crimson haze covering everything.

Lightning erupted from the sky, decimating any structure above four stories high. Anything below was consumed by a sudden earthquake. This time not thousands died . . . nor hundreds of thousands. . .

Millions died. And Nihilius grew stronger . . . strong enough to match all the Jedi Masters in the galaxy. Even if they were united as one. Not even Skywalker could stop him now.

Little did the Sith Lord know his future doom was now captured by the Cult . . . and en route to Korriban. Without her, the Jedi would fall.

Not because of Nihilius, nor the Cult . . . because without her Skywalker was weak.

Reaper ran back to Cade as fast as he could. Cade had been waiting for the droid to return.

"She was taken on a shuttle. I was able to wipe a tracking liquid on to the shuttle, but I don't know where to find the tracker."

"Damn... It'll do for now, come on we gotta regroup with the others."

Reaper and Cade found Atrila with the hunter and some other jedi. Reaper watched the jedi attack some sith and decided to join him. Cade ran over to Atrila.

"Atrila, they've taken Lyna. Reaper says he found some tracking liquid on his foot and wiped it on the shuttle... we just don't know how we can track it," Cade replied as he pulled out his blaster pistol.

-------------------------------------------------------

"I'll stick with TK. I'm Lyna Honso, by the way."

"Lyna Honso, that's a nice name," TK replied clearly unware of who she was.

"Hey buddy, why do you let me, and our little Jedi Princess go huh? I mean what would be the harm"

TK spun around and smiled from under his helmet.

"Buddy?... Did you say buddy?... I've never had a real buddy before. My dad told me its because stormtroopers weren't suppose to but I always thought it was odd. Wow imagine, I made two friends on one shuttle. I bet my brothers would be real jealous of me right now... oh yeah I forgot. No I can't let you out... I mean I'd love to but they didn't give me a key. See the last time a prisoner was here he said he had to go to the bathroom so I let him out. He ended up being a jedi knight so they were mad. They let me live though cause I accidentally shot him in the back as he was leaving. See my rifle got jammed and I was trying to fix it and it got him in the back. So I can't let you guys out otherwise they would kill you... and me."

TK moved from the side of Lyna's cell to right in front of it.

"So you're a real jedi right? what's that like? I've always wanted to know and I've never had the chance to ask... wow... you're very pretty. You have very beautiful eyes and nice hair. You must be like way popular at the jedi temple... sorry that was odd to say...I'm sorry... temple... oh yeah you have a temple. What's that like, is it big, how many jedi are there... I'm getting carried away. I'll start with one question, how did you become a jedi?"

Zeb grinned feeling slight frustrated, then an idea came to him. Maybe he could convince this talkative storm trooper to use the consul to deactivate the force fields holding him in. Of course to make himself seem not so selfish he'd have to let the Jedi go as well, that thought didn't settle to well with him but if his plan was to get out of her alive and not be made an example of then he'd do it.

"Buddy, do you mind if I call you TK. You see that consul over there" Zeb said as he pointed to it across the room. "Now I happen to know the pass code to lower the force field. I also happen to have a ship in the hanger bay, you lower the force field letting me and our Jedi Princess go, and you can come with us. How about it? It be an adventure, and what kind of life would you be living with out an adventure? Come on TK, pal, what do you say?"

He hoped this work, he honestly was growing impatient of staying here, while his ship was stuck corridors away from him.

((Have no idea, Admiral_Thrawn. But I've got a great idea. Later on, Cade and his group will come to Lyna's rescue to Korriban. Could you find a way to have Nihilius get to Korriban too? I was thinking he and Lyna could have a... spiritual fight. ;) ))

Lyna blushed at TK's words. This Stormtrooper was definitley a good person. This was her very first time meeting someone like him. A talkative Stormtrooper, yes. But totally nice.

"Well, I first became a Jedi at the age of 13. That's when I recieved the Jedi Padawan title. But I wasn't born Jedi. I lived in the Underworld of Coruscant with my real parents. They died in a raid when I was only a baby. But then a Jedi, named Coral Mai, my adoptive mother, found me in a hidden closet my real mom placed me in. That's how I joined the Jedi Order. The rest... it's kinda hard to tell. But I will say that I met Cade Skywalker when I was 20. We became very close..."

Lyna had a downcast look, thinking about all the good times and adventures she had with Cade. Suddenly, the Sith shuttle landed, possibly in a hanger bay. She figured that they were now in the Sith cult's destination. The Sith cultists came in the detention cell's area, and deactivated Lyna's and Zeb's force fields. Then they handcuffed the two prisoners.

"If you two may come with us to our Master, there won't be any trouble. We're now on Korriban, so there won't be any place to run." One of the Sith cultist turned to TK. "We may need you as well, Stormtrooper." Lyna stepped out of her cell, handcuffed and ready to face the Sith cult's leader.

((Would it be alright if I introduced another semi/bad character?))

Gerris checked all of his equipment, something he did out of habit. He already knew everything was in tip-top shape, but it was always worth checking.

The Cathar seemed the talkative-type, judging by her conversation with the suspicious Jedi/Sith, whatever, guy. Not a good thing since his throat was already sore from the brief talk he had with her. Gerris didn't like conversation. He also heard something about the Jedi Council.

Gerris did also hear the word 'money' or 'pay' or just 'compensation' in the Cathar's conversation, that would salve, for a little, of Gerris' hate of politics and beauracracy. He hoped the trip would be quick.

He just stood staring at the Jedi, awaiting orders, he couldn't wait to assume his former duties, and collect the prize of accomplishment.

((Oh and Skywalker the draining power is called Death Field, but Nihilius' is far stronger than normal, literally capable of draining entire worlds. Well, if he gains enough power in the first place of course. You know, that fact makes it strange how he gets beaten by a two-bit Jedi. :o))

Nihilius thought back to the tombs of Korriban, remembering their strength. Perhaps he could fuel his own power through the tombs.

Suddenly, a huge battleship floated overhead, overlooking the devestation. Nihilius saw his oppurtunity . . . and took it. The ship spinned violently, beginning to burst into flames. Suddenly the battleship stopped turning and the thrusters burnt a blood-red.

The ship was upon the ground in seconds, adding tens of thousands of more casualties to the fresh devestation. But . . . the ship would not rest long. It burst into the air, leaving a cloud of smoke and shaking off the debris. The ships bridge rested only metres from his position. He drew it closer shatted the viewport and entered the ship. However, had didn't yet have enough power to actually sustain such a ship. So he drew upon the debris, reforming the hull. But this time it was a dark ebony, mixed with violent crimson, that blotted the surface. As for the crew . . . the spirits of his army were already manifesting themselves, the symbollic silver armor glinting under the blaze of the sun. They immediately went about their buisness, in duty or in fear.

The ships thrusters engaged, far beyond the natural levels. Thousands and thousands of onlookers watched in terror and puzzlement as the ship both plummeted and reformed. This was but a taste of Nihilius' power . . .

Suddenly, a strange field appeared around the ship and the energies at play were devestating to simply look at. No one was foolish enough to mistake such a power, it drained their very will just from this distance. But no one could run, too dumbstruck were they. So fell the first victims of Nihilius. Millions more would join them before this was over. Nihilius desired not for domination, nor power, nor victory. He desired the force . . . and he would devour the universe before his hunger rested. One . . . galaxy . . . at a time . . .

The ship turned slowly to the direction of Korriban and the hyperdrive burst into life, propelling the vessel across the galaxy . . . towards the ancient planet of Korriban . . .

A vessel appeared on the scanners, a Sith shuttle by the looks of it. There was no mistaking the small craft. Nor the force inside it . . . the tractor beam engaged, locking the shuttle in place. Within seconds it was floating helplessly in a circle.

Nihilius walked straight through the viewport, shattering it. As soon as he exited the viewport however it reformed, allowing those inside to live. Nihilius was engulfed in a black cloud . . .

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the bridge of the sith shuttle, panick was amiss. The sith struggled to maintain order, but to no avail. Suddenly a black cloud emerged out of one of the vents . . . Lyna felt the deaths of the sith . . . and a great darkness fast approaching her small little cell. A tiny bit of black cloud emerged from the vents . . .

(Admiral Thrawn, I really don't think Nihilus could realisticly do that)

Atrila looked toward her strange new ally

"I'm going to the temple. We need to find out more about this threat and soon."

Atrila flagged down an Air Taxi and instructed the pilot to take her to the temple as quickly as possible.

A Short while later.

Atrila stod before the massive Jedi temple and felt humbled.

I wish...I could have stayed here and learned so much more...maybe I could have stopped the creature earlier if I had managed to learn more...

Atrial took a deep breath and entered the massive temple

I only hope they don't reject me out of hand
