Well, It's official guys, Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings is definitely coming out for Wii, Nintendo DS, and an unnamed Playstation system.

Trailer is right here:

While, as a 360 owner I am a bit disappointed, I hope the game is still good.

So, what are you guys looking forward to in the game?

No, it's pretty much 99.99% bona-fide. A trailer of that quality is most certainly not a hoax.

Either way, I'm happy with it. it's good that they didn't just target it to the 360/PS3 crowd only, as they've had their fill of "hardcore" games, now there's finally something as a primarily Wii exclusive. Hope it turns out better than TFU.

Ah, didn't even watch the video...stupid me! But will this game come out? The LA website still has nothing on it and still contains a page for the old 360/PS3 one...
My guess: LA is slow as hell when it comes to updating their website. Case and point: the BioWare/LucasArts page still hasn't been updated yet, even though the MMO has been known for many, many months now. Unless... if it's dealing with an entirely different project...

Yeah, you're quite right PastramiX. I also believe that this trailer is a slight leak, and LucasArts are waiting for a magazine's (possibly Nintendo Power's) exclusive to come out before they release more details. It's a real shame if the 360/PS3 version truly isn't coming out.

I've updated IndyJones.net with all the details, including the Facts & Rumours page for the game.

As for release date, I'm betting on or around April 28th - which is the current rumoured release for the novelisation by Rob McGregor.

I want a PC version for the feeling of near-immortality it gives to games. I can play Fate of Atlantis or even Last Crusade any time I want, but I can't do that with Emperor's Tomb unless I plug in my old Xbox or PS2. PS3's don't really have backwards compatibility, and the 360 BC for Emperor's Tomb isn't perfect.

Oh, wait, I can play it - I've got it for PC.

And if they don't bring out the Euphoria-enhanced 360 version, which was the reason The Force Unleashed never came to PC supposedly, there really is no excuse.

Well, it's confirmed, Nintendo Power magazine has Indiana Jones & The Staff of Kings on their next cover. I'll post it on the site later today, and Jason from Mojo has already stuck it on the main page.

So come February 20th, we'll know everything about the game. I'll bet the answer to 'why isn't it out on 360/PS3 like you planned?' will be some bull**** like "it wasn't meeting our quality expectations".

Of course, if Official Nintendo Magazine have the exclusive too like I'm hoping, then I'll know February 13th instead - and I promise I'll put up scans promptly.

Hey hey, wait a second. This then means that Surfer Girl was actually right! Haven't you noticed? I mean, she said that "a new development team is on board" and that "A2M is working for the consoles who can't stand a 3 on their name-PSP/PS2/Wii/DS" which is quite right, and she also said that the actual game "looks nothing like what was shown in the E3 2006" and that the Wii is "the primary SKU for this title", which is totally right!

The Fact Sheet from Lucasarts says that "The PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system version features six robust types of burst gameplay including combat and physics challenges, puzzles and the trademark Indiana Jones chase sequences". Does that mean the PSP version will be different? I'm kinda confused with that post...

Our fill of "hardcore games?" What does that mean? I got my 360 90% of the new Indy game coming out....and now you're telling me I don't deserve it because the 360 has legitimate games for it? That makes a lot of sense...

Like I said, LA has screwed me once again...I'm glad they're done with internal productions...they really do suck.

Supposedly the PSP version is being made exclusively by Amaze, but I think this will just be a short bit of extra gameplay, possibly minigames.

These versions were always coming, but 360/PS3 was getting the main LucasArts-developed version. Unfortunately because of LucasArts' internal Civil War over the last couple of years, Indy got continually put on the backburner, and management decided it would take too much time and effort to finish it. So they cancelled their own version, but the Wii etc. versions were made outside of LucasArts so they didn't get any interference. So we're getting them instead.

It does suck, but instead of Vapourware that may never have come out we're getting a new Indy game (and story) soon. Let's hope it's good.

I'm wondering how A2M made this game. Although I already saw the screenshots, they don't really tell much about the final game. I'm actually getting worried, because from what I know A2M has a reputation of making bad games (like Mercenaries 2 for PS2, what was that?)...

Oh and a question: Does Amaze make good games? At least for PSP?
