Taak Farst
Right, so I am trying to make a video montage/music video using my torchwood dvds. I tried filming the clips with HyperCam, but when I finished recording and put on playback, it was just a black screen. Does anyone know any computer video recorders that let u film videos? Star Admiral
You could try ScreenToaster, available here. I haven't personally used it, but it seems to work fine. - Star Admiral

TSR
Frapps if you want to pay. Good quality + CS, but the free version is total w**k.
Astrotoy7
Apart from something like FRAPS, another option if you have the DVDs, is to just convert to relevant section(.vob file) to avi(etc) and then import into an editing program and edit to your hearts content. If its just something simple you want eg. for a youtube vid, windows movie maker is more than enough for basic transitions and audio. You could try the one in vista(or xp?) or the new moviemaker beta from MS available >> HERE If it is a youtube vid youre planning. Id check youtube first to see that no one hasnt made something similar already... also they have become very strict on copyrighted material recently, so it could get taken down quickly. Another commonly used freeware editing option is virtualdub, but a tiny bit of a learning curve IMO. good luck mtfbwya
