MMOs and system requirements should really only be taken with a pinch of salt. My rig includes an i7-4790k and a GTX 970 but in some zones I can't keep 60+ fps on ultra settings. Culprit is the shadows most of the time. Same goes for GW2, but that was badly optimised anyway. That build should be more that fine regardless of that issue though.

The internet was once a very well established 'society' and there used to be big forums for almost anything. The problem is that internet culture in general isn't all that social anymore because most people join forums initially because they have questions about something; questions that are now more likely to be answered with a Google search. There is also a case for anonymity, as the cynic in me would say that the internet is a much more hostile place than it was 10 years ago.

As long as they're better and more original than Star Wars: Battlefield, I'm sure they'd be great. They could make ANYTHING really. I hope they don't waste the license.

Was never really a fan of Maul, always thought he was pretty overrated. A new open-world Star Wars RPG though...that I could get behind. Think Witcher 3.

I too am apprehensive. I have bought my tickets and will be happily going to see it, but whether I expect it to be good is another matter. I can't shake the feeling that this feels like a license cash in. It doesn't even look like a Star Wars film, and they've thrown in a bunch of TIE Fighters and X-Wing just to remind you that it IS Star Wars. Same goes for the music too. Honestly, I'd LOVE for this to be good, but they'd have to have a pretty good excuse in the story for this to exist. For those like me that never bothered with the EU, Episode 6 resolved pretty much everything. The new super-death star 3.0 makes me cringe too.

Was actually meaning one or two "staff members". If we want to turn a potential website into an actual good source of information on anything star wars then we need a couple of people who can review the movies, the games, the tv show episodes, the comics. Anything really. Star wars is huge.

Aren't you all so glad I made this thread now. I declare myself the savior of the LFNetwork. Now bow before me, degenerates! I personally would love to write reviews for anything and everything star wars, if that is what you guys want on a potential website. I am much more skilled with words than I am with algorithms. I could write anything really, and I'm actually pretty good at it. Although I doubt what I'm offering is very useful. but hey ho, just throwing it out there.

We need people who have made more than an average of one post a week since they joined, to be fair.

Well, Lynk, personally, I'd absolutely love to help and would if I could devote myself to it as much as I can. However, I have no web design skills or ANYTHING that is useful really, so I won't put myself forward. If we need moderators in the future however, I will happily talk to you or other admins about it. Can this forum grow? Yes. But relevancy is key. Consolidation and modernization revamps are needed on here first and foremost, with us maybe simply ditching most if not all the banner websites like starwarsknights.com and sticking with just jediknight.net, and putting all the older games into one forum, with maybe giving newer games like Battlefront their own space. Just ideas, nothing useful. EDIT: What I'm trying to say Lynk is that I certainly back you and the forum and would help any way I can. But yeah, we need more numbers. EDIT2: mattig89ch, are those people who are rediscovering the old games coming HERE though?

To be honest this is the first I've heard of a currently existing LucasArts Fan Network. Even lfnetwork.com is dead.

LucasArts doesn't even exist anymore Lynk. It's hard to revitalize a forum for a company that doesn't exist and games that are at least a decade old. It would have to become a STAR WARS fan forum. Otherwise it's far too niche.

Judging by your outburst, Lynk, I'm going to assume you took my post in a harsh light, when that was not the intention. I would HOPE you wouldn't just give mod or admin status to every tom dick and harry that said they wanted it. That is not the way forward.

The people who have been admins have been admins for years. They know each other, they had ongoing communication (one would assume) with each other. Admin responsibilities will not be given to someone who they don't know very well, someone who doesn't partake in the forums all that much or someone who is simply new to the forum. However, new admins ARE definitely needed. Darth333, Stoffe, Jeff et al all seem to pop their heads out the window but don't partake in what they're seeing nowadays. I would say we could do a simple nomination followed by vote. But please, let's get rid of terms like 'powder keg', we're not staging a mutiny or revolution
