I like villainous music sometimes. Being a longtime megaman fan, particularly the X series at about #4:

Some more blue bomber. In the classic series. Though this number of title made it apparent this was going to be a rehash series...well, I'd say at least what it has going fo ir is the music tracks...

I actually was bored enough hella days ago to try to play these on my electric bass. I actually was able to do almost all of these back then more or less. Except the boss theme-- I just wasn't fast enough. Since I wasn't the best (and no doubt major time suckage NOW that I ain't played it in, what 8, 9 years) I was a bit rough or sloppy on most all of them. But I have to admit it was fun when I did them. *looks at my old axe* Damn how times change.

Since we're all familiar w/ Quiet Riot's version of "Cum On Feel The Noize". What you all may not be familiar with is the original. Also Oasis did their own version of it.

It is of brit-rock origin. Slade: 1972, obviously 70's era rock sounding. If you like the contemporary brit rock revival of 60's-70's rock, Oasis would do nicely for ya. Of course anyone familiar with hair bands of the 80's (or at least played GTA:Vice City V-Rock staiton) knows of the Quiet Riot version.

I know another MM track, and to top it off the cover looks just wrong. Capcom? What the hell were you thinking?!

Anyway, here is a track which is pretty epic for a Game Boy game:

A rip of this is actually booming with bass and full stereo surround if the track was recorded correctly. YT is down for right now and I can't get anything else so I'll add more in a bit when it is back up.

Finally, no matter how many modern iterations there are of this last song, the original version will still be the best:

Used in which game? I kinda hate it that the track is used everywhere possible,

it's epic depressive nature was best expressed in the titular movie, which I hold to be one of the finest movies I've ever watched.

QFE.

Why the hell is it always used to represent some climactic battle or something stupid like that?

Anyway, most of my favourites (Monkey Island 3, Age of Empires II, The Republic Commando theme, Max Payne 2) Have already been mentioned, so i'll just post some of the ones I can remember.

Most of the music in Sid Meier's Pirates! is awesome, but these two are, probably unsurprisingly, my favourites.

The game might not have been that great, but a lot of the music for Desperados 2 was good -

LOTR game (towers), mybad. Though as games they didn't quite match the movies. My father bought them new for me at christmas a few years ago when they were new and all the rage, ridiculous pricetag and all. Probably because he wanted them.

But I agree, waaaay overused. Even in just mundane videos.
