IGN, for once, has compiled a list of some of the best game creators and designers throughout the industry.

 

Avellone, Tim Cain, and many other Black Islers made it on the list. Shigeru Miyamoto is named the best, which is understandable. Though, I don't exactly know why Todd Howard of Bethesda was placed higher than Avellone.

I try not to watch these lists. From the moment Warren Spector, Gabe Newell and Tim Schafer are placed behind the dude that made Madden and NHL, or the dude that made Counterstrike, I'm out of here. Myaybe, as an RPG player, I'm biased. But a Bethesda developer placed before Avellone? Awful.

 

I don't disagree with the Top 3, though.

Because of his successful (and soul-less) rape of the Fallout franchise, of course, along with the equally successful (and equally soul-less) Oblivion.

I hate IGN's lists. I stopped reading them when they named Half-Life 2 the #6 Greatest Game of All Time.

Yeah, IGN's lists used to be fun but they just have so many now and have a lot of questionable picks.
