Wii Injuries on the Rise

I'm glad I don't have one!
Wii's are great and if you get injured because of it, it's because you're not be careful.

If you don't put on the wrist band on it, you could loose control of the remote and have it hit your TV which could cause damage. That is why you put that one. Some people can get lazy about that and pay a price for it later.

You really don't need to swing like a maniac to get results with the Wii. If you're swinging without control like playing tennis or baseball, you're really not doing yourself a favor and you're going to wearing out your arm very quickly.

It's also responsible to get a reasonable distance from your opponent when playing. All these things people are doing is because of carelessness, not because the Wii is the problem.

Don't you think Nintendo could solve the problem somewhat by, oh I don't know, creating a glove that's not easily penetrated with glass?

Personally when I played the wii, we moved it to the empty room in our house that had served as a guest room and since there's nothing there but a TV that would break if you hit it with the wiimote, we figured that place was better than anywhere else.

Oy....and Wii was saying that they'd probably become a major contender in the console market....that is if they don't kill their customers:D There's a reason I disliked playing it, there's just something about waving a small stick around in the air...:D

You can get good results on tennis and other sports games by just flicking your wrist.

I'd suggest that those people not drink large amounts of coffee and soda before Wii-ing (did that last part sound wrong to anyone else?:p).

Yeah, all this hate for motion controls.... and now Microsoft and Sony are trying to get you guys to do the same thing with their new motion goodies XD

I dunno about anyone else, but I've never actually had to move my arm very much at all when playing Wii.

Yeah, Twilight Princess is one of the best examples of being completely lazy while playing video games (even more than usual). Imagine a cheeto-fingered slob with his arms completely at his side with the Wii remote and nunchuck, well this could be you playing Twilight Princess, it requires even less movement than normal games.
