Saw this the other day, what they've got so far looks pretty great. I hope they do a decent job with the cartoon proportions on the rest of the cast, but the backgrounds look terrific!

Well I was going to post somthing close to this so might as well post it here. Does anyone think that it would be possible to make a remake of DOTT with all new graphics on AGS? Same game but kinda like a SE like lucasarts did with Monkey Island. Is it legal? Just wondering. A thought that came to mind.

 

Remember a DOTT remake not Maniac mansion.

 

When I mean new graphics and stuff I mean like the DOTT2 Project kind of Graphics. It already has good graphics.

Ya DOTT is virtually perfect. I love that game. It isnt really worth a special edition. What would you do the graphics are already really really good. I was just wondering. But this Maniac Mansion remake is pretty aewsome. They need to add in Hoagie and Lavern to make the story more tied.

That’s pretty cool; I enjoyed Deluxe quite a bit so I’ll be checking this one out too whenever it’s done. Hope those involved don’t try to mimic Dott’s art style too much with the characters, a simple cartoonish look is all you’d need really, whatever is easier for their animators. Hell, the original kids where just big-headed stick figures, so there’s lots of room to mess around and add their own take on them.

 

 

Anyway, keep us updated on any news for this thing, Mojo-updater-guys, I know I'll be keeping an eye out each time I click the link for this place in my bookmarks which I only still have in there for, uh, sentimental reasons, I assure you. Ah, those grand old Episode 1 days...

They need to add in Hoagie and Lavern to make the story more tied.

In DotT Hoagie and Laverne has never been to the mansion before, so adding them to Maniac Mansion would mess up the official story line, you know. But it would have been fun.
